Any concern for Louisville?

Last week's result shocked me.  Not that they lost, but the margin.  Not a stretch they get got this week @Noxubee either.  Hardly any 4A talk, usually for good reason.  Any threats out there to stop them this year?  They don't seem quite their normal selves from a distance.

If any teams in the north can dethrone Louisville, the most likely candidates are Clarksdale and Kosciusko. Maybe Senatobia.

Columbia. Poplarville isn't what they were last year. They lost their TEs that created mismatches. Columbia may be the best team in 4A this year.

Senatobia D isn't strong enough and they basically have 1 RB that is their offense.  Not enough info on kozy or clarksdale yet but senatobia and clarksdale are in same region.  How good are the other teams in region 4 with louisville and kozy?

Orr got Noxapater rolling at about this time in his tenure there.  Kosy looks good.  I don't know about Clarksdale.  They weren't good last year and that 20-0 over Coahoma isn't very good considering Simmons beat them by almost 40.  It is Louisville's to lose every year.

Greenwood is always talented. Played Cleveland Central relatively close and they took Kosciusko to overtime last year.
Yazoo City is 2-2 but no real big wins. Gentry hasn't won a game yet. 

 

Would expect the standing to play out like this 

1) Kosciusko/Louisville
2) Kosciusko/Louisville

3) Greenwood

4) Yazoo City

Shannon is a threat taking Louisville down in the Playoffs both teams already played few weeks Shannon had Louisville on the rope till that middle of 3rd Q reason why Shannon lost was them turnovers, gave up 2 big plays down the field

Clarksdale is solid, but I don’t know about them beating Louisville. I could see them playing them in the North Half if things play out right, but I can also see an early exit depending on the matchups. They beat Cleveland Central but Cleveland Central had opportunities to win that game just as they had opportunities to beat Grenada. Lack of execution has hurt CC early, so don’t put a lot of stock into that Greenwood game either. CC could be 1-3 as easily as they could be 4-0, so with that being said, it’s hard to gauge where Clarksdale and Greenwood are in terms of trying to compete for a title. I can’t see Gentry making any noise and I think Yazoo City could surprise some folks out of that region. They play Vicksburg this week - not sure what Vicksburg has this year but they went from 0-10 to 2-2, so we might get a better idea on Yazoo after this one between two improved teams.

Shannon should run the table rest of the year and play either Tish or south pontotoc in first round.   round 2 will probably be louisville or kozy.

If clarksdale can beat senatobia and win the region, they get either new albany or corinth in round 2. if clarksdale finishes second, they get new albany or corinth in round 2. be interesting to see how much clarksdale has improved

yea they and I think 2nd rd they match up with somebody out of Region 3 I not I don't think they will play Kozy or Louisville 2nd rd I think Reg 1 will play Region 4 2nd rd probably I not sure.

shannon will catch the #2 team from region 4 in round 2, louisville or kozy

You right about 2nd rd after I look on Mississippi high school sports associates. And yea Shannon will either see Louisville or Kosciusko 2nd rd, 1st rd you right Shannon will either see South Pontotoc or Tish or North Pontotoc

Louisville played sloppy last week against Starkville but came out on fire tonight against Noxubee winning 25-20!  That win tonight will get Louisville back on track! I still think Louisville will come out of the North! Got Kozy in 2 weeks that should be a good one
