BrickCity
This is my favorite time of the year. A rivalry that now feels like I have been apart of in all of my 47 years on this earth. I cannot wait

Being from the brick city I can see the connection that you have to the bricks. I guess Laurel’s stadium is the ultimate Brick City.

If the mayor of Madison initiated a brick standard into the city ordinances, then how come their football stadium is metal bleachers? Shouldn’t Madison Central have built a stadium out of all brick just like Laurel did? In a way Madison Central’s stadium is violating city code LOL! Merlin
I think laurel takes it 28-13.

That would be awesome to have a stadium built like most college stadiums look now days.

Although, I will be cheering for Laurel this year. We will make a trip to K-rocks fried chicken before the game, and we are happy to bring you a plate if you would like? First thought that came to my head about that brick stadium was the it could only be built so high to meet Mary’s ordinances. I have is no idea if she still the mayor of Madison. Apparently not from the buildings I have seen riding by. Edited August 28, 2023 by ogwarriorbandman

coastfootballfanman
I will take the Tigers in a close one. Hopefully the Tiger defense went to work fixing some holes in their scheme. Huge game. Vance going to have his boys ready.

Only way Hattiesburg fixes those holes is to scrap the entire defense and go back to last years.

Strange things happen in the brown jug game. One yr we score 4tds in 3 minutes and steal a win. Another yr we are one win away from a region title and get a 50pc shutout put on us. Ghost of Howard Cosell
When has Hattiesburg ever won a state championship in the current playoff format that was established in 1981! You could possibly find Big 8 football championship team from earlier decades! Edited August 31, 2023 by Ghost of Howard Cosell

So to answer your question, they haven't won an MHSAA title in the current playoff era.
Ghost of Howard Cosell
I knew they have some Big 8 championships way back in the day before the Meridian dominance of the Big 8… I remember seeing a very good Hattiesburg team lose a nail biter to West Point in the 1989 5A state championship 24-21 played at Mississippi College.
