FanofMSfootball
Lots of job turnover going on but all I hear are the same names and recycling of coaches. I also hear a lot of young guys getting frustrated because it doesn’t seem to be much path for them to be head coaches these days. As t least in places that actually care. pancho
what areas and schools as well as recycled coaches are you referring to?
coachhollywood
I actually have been seeing it in the opposite direction. Especially in smaller schools. For example: They hire the guy without a masters and 6 years experience instead of the guy with a masters and 20 years experience. Money saving move. CrimsonUnit1988
A lot of retired coaches from other states are starting to gain traction as well. Not fond of it unless you get a jam up guy that has won multiple state titles but even then you’re getting a shell of what that coach used to be. There’s a reason they retired and it’s to get an extra paycheck. That’s it.
Rebel Bert
They have good chance to land a job if they are from Boyles and Mancuso coaching tree.

Lotsa young coaches think they're ready for 5A-7A and really aren't, but are super motivated. Find a smaller school and make a record of success and it'll come along eventually. I always liked being a HC in small ball better than big schools... my preference. Less mouths in my ear.
