They handled Bay Springs, St Stanislaus, Hazlehurst, and Noxubee who were bigger boys last year. Speed, skill, and blocking trumps size. Coaching too. That’s not just 2A roster numbers, that’s borderline 1A roster numbers. They had a loaded senior class last season and a couple guys that were 300 pounds or right at it. For a large 2A/small 3A school, that’s pretty surprising to see such a small roster. At some point makes you think the federal government can say no more funding for 3 public schools. We then know the 3 high schools might be consolidated into 1 or 2 schools. If 1 high school then the Raleigh 7th and 8th grade has to go somewhere. Whether that is back to the elementary, split between the 3 junior highs or a new wing built on.
