CPR and Degibulator use at high schools

I feel like this appropriate to discuss for high school games in light of last night's NFL game. Who needs to be cpr trained in schools? etc.

so scary…reminds me of the tragic death at Diberville game a few years back.  

 

they def need defibulators and trained personnel at all games.

The MHSAA requires all coaches to be trained in CPR and using an AED. Have to renew it every two years.

Good ideal. They probably need 1 in each concession stand and trained personnel in stands. You never know when and where it's needed. For all sports as well.

Seeing that definitely brought back some painful memories.Many of us remember the heart breaking tragedy at Greenville. I wish an ambulance was required at all games or at least in the area between schools. They waited 35 minutes for an ambulance. I don't know if it would have changed the outcome, but 35 minutes would definitely make a difference in most life threatening cases.

There is a bill pending that will require all schools to have a AED in all buildings on campus.

Hope the bill earmarks money to pay for them. They need to be accessible, but the reason they are not is because they're expensive.

Yea Long Beach will have the money. We certainly aren't going to be spending it on our football program.
