Currently Mississippi up 12-7 with 6:52 left in 2Q. MS’s defensive front has been very impressive so far. They’ve shut the AL running game down and have a few sacks as well. AL has -9 rushing yards. Offensively we’ve moved the ball well. Deuce Knight has done a good job on his drives.

Did kamario taylor not play in this game

He didn’t. Announcers said he was injured. Was replaced by Tupelo’s Noah Gillon. Neither did Caleb Cunningham due to injury. It was basically the Lacey/Knight show because none of the other QB’s for both teams could do anything offensively. When Deuce Vance came in for MS, it was all QB keepers.

Tony Vance. He was in his normal Tony Vance fashion giving it to the refs but he was def justified by some of it in the 4Q with some of the calls that happened.

Well that explains everything.  Rarely does MS send their best and brightest coaches to this game.

Russ Robinson embarrassing as usual reporting Quinn Ewers portaling to Alabama. Must have saw a meme on MySpace

You heard that too huh? I went straight to X to see if I had missed something. Then he double downed his stupidity and tried to backtrack and explain why he would’ve done that lol.

I know the selection for coaches in the MS/AL games is a spread it around and let many have an opportunity but after what I saw of Vance in the 7A championship game, there are many better scheme coaches in the state. I didn't see this game yesterday at all so what were the issues in which we could have done more efficiently on offense that affected the outcome of the game?

Two biggest issues which really wasn’t on the coaching was the OL and WR’s. With the OL, a lot was we were just outmatched by the AL DL which was expected coming into the game. There was absolutely no running on the inside against their DL even with Taylor from Grenada. At WR, the only guy that really could get separation was Barnett from Hattiesburg. Stevenson from Germantown did a decent job but we just didn’t have a dynamic type WR this year. Apparently MS was a heavy underdog going into the game and most said we did better than expected.
