They’ve shut the AL running game down and have a few sacks as well. AL has -9 rushing yards. Offensively we’ve moved the ball well. Deuce Knight has done a good job on his drives. Was replaced by Tupelo’s Noah Gillon. Neither did Caleb Cunningham due to injury. It was basically the Lacey/Knight show because none of the other QB’s for both teams could do anything offensively. pancho Posted December 15, 2024 Share Posted December 15, 2024 I know the selection for coaches in the MS/AL games is a spread it around and let many have an opportunity but after what I saw of Vance in the 7A championship game, there are many better scheme coaches in the state. I didn't see this game yesterday at all so what were the issues in which we could have done more efficiently on offense that affected the outcome of the game? NoWammies Posted December 15, 2024 Author Share Posted December 15, 2024 Two biggest issues which really wasn’t on the coaching was the OL and WR’s. With the OL, a lot was we were just outmatched by the AL DL which was expected coming into the game. There was absolutely no running on the inside against their DL even with Taylor from Grenada. At WR, the only guy that really could get separation was Barnett from Hattiesburg. Stevenson from Germantown did a decent job but we just didn’t have a dynamic type WR this year.
