NoWammies
We’ve got UK Week 2 next year. Love it!!! Lesson learned and not repeated.
MSTSatchmo
Should be 10-2 at least. They can’t screw that softball schedule up again.
Dawg83
I gotta see what everyone’s final rosters end up looking like but the initial view is Ole Miss has a schedule that lends itself to contending for the Playoff and State has a schedule where 4-8 might be a significant accomplishment. Dawg83
State’s schedule includes: 1. 8 SEC games where the home games are all against current Top 15 teams and the possibly winnable games are all on the road. 2. A game against the reigning Big 12 champion who is about to have a bye in the Playoff. 3. A MAC team that beat Notre Dame this year 4. A season opener on the road against an in-state team with a new coach who has beaten notable teams before (Marshall beat Notre Dame in 2022 under Huff). People talked about State’s 2024 schedule being hard….. I believe 2025 is even worse. Edited December 12, 2024 by Dawg83

OM non conference is a little tougher with Tulane and Wash St. Still gotta go to GA. Outside of non conference games these are the exact games for the SEC from this past year with home sites flipped. For State to be able to compete in the immediate future they are going to try and schedule 4 definite cupcake wins and hope they can get an easier SEC schedule next go around. NoWammies
Things I like about Ole Miss schedule 1. You get UK Week 2. Get you a warm up Week 1 then go right into SEC play. 2. Bye after Week 5. Get you a good batch of games in and then get a week to rest up some guys who will have injuries. 3. Only leave the state of MS 3 times in the year. No excuse of travel wear and tear. Never leave the state in November. 4. LSU, USC and Florida at home. No excuse for crowd noise and poor me we gotta play there at night. Bulldogs4
Tulane & Washington State are not going to be a cake walk. Could be two tricky games.
NoWammies
Also despite their final record, ask Vandy if Georgia St is a guaranteed win.
Dawg83
I will say it’s a sneaky tough home schedule for OM. A lot of teams coming to Oxford that are about to be in bowl games. Will be very curious to see what SC and Florida are like next year with their young QB’s a year older.
