I do see I missed Natchez @ Florence in 5A that has a lot riding on it.

Here’s a list of big games this upcoming week that could give teams a #1 seed going into the playoff based off of the winner. Or could cause a three way tie in a couple. Feel free to add any I missed. If Enterprise DB’s continue playing 15 yards off the WR’s and then backpedaling as soon as the ball is snapped this game will be ugly too. Noxubee took advantage of it hitting some quick routes and then turning 5 yard plays into 50+ yard plays because of the speed difference. Kemper County WR’s have that same ability to turn a small gain into a big one.

I like to give RaiderGuy a tough time but there was a stretch when they were looking like the 2nd best team in 5A behind Parklane and could’ve easily been 1st but they haven’t looked like the same team the last two weeks. Especially tonight where Leake Academy just ran all over them in the 2H. In the 4Q they scored a TD to cut it to 21-14 and had a little momentum with 7 mins left but Leake Academy took the air out of the sails by running 6 mins off the clock consistently picking up first downs before scoring to make it 28-14. The biggest first down came on 3rd and 9 at their own 45 with just over 5 mins left when Wilcox kept it on a read option for 11 yards. It doesn’t bode well for Lamar now with them having to travel for the first round playoff matchup against a #1 seed and they’re a team that’s 2-3 on the road this season.

Leake Academy’s 6’2” 215lb Sophomore QB George Wilcox couldn’t be stopped in the 2H.

Lawrence County and Purvis has finally ended after 4 OT’s with LC winning 74-68.

Sebastopol 42 Eupora 21 Final Sebastopol goes to 8-0 making it a big game next Friday night at home against Union for 2A Region 4 title.

After a 2nd straight loss tonight Lamar will now be fighting for their playoff lives next week at home against East Rankin. Copiah won the region with their win against Simpson tonight meaning the winner of Simpson/Leake Academy next week will be #2 and the loser #3.

Not to downplay the Oak Grove win because going into Alabama and coming home with a win was big, but would Hoover still be classified as good since they are 2-5 and was also going into last week on a 3 game losing streak before beating Oak Mountain? Just saying it since some of those other teams were said to be mediocre and Hoover good.

Right now I’d prob go with Holmes County -14 at home. Cleveland Central has seemed to hit a wall losing the last 2 out of 3 that they need to recover from. I was def surprised with the loss to Canton and more surprised only putting up 7 against a defense that was giving up 38 a game.

Crazy thing in the north is Cleveland Central beat Clarksdale but goes and loses to 0-5 Canton.

Shannon def wouldn’t be cuz they lost to Saltillo by 22 and Amory beat them by 32. That Amory/Ripley game next Friday night should be a good one with the region title on the line.

You pretty much answered your own question with the three you mentioned. They seem to be the top three at this moment. In the north Ripley and Amory will be tough outs but I just don’t think they’re on Louisville’s level.

And Winona averaged around that same amount of points in a 3 game stretch against Grenada, Charleston and Choctaw County. That’s what I call being on fire.

So you base your opinion of a team off of one game yet just earlier said nobody in 3A wants to see an Enterprise team who has still yet beat a team with a winning record? Oh I forgot they’ve been on fire the last 3 weeks against teams that are combined 2-19. One things for sure and that’s at this point in the season the only team in 3A that someone could say nobody wants to see is Winona.

Part of me wants to say TCP/Biggersville should be an interesting matchup but I think Biggersville takes it by atleast 14.

I’d reduce that .5 and parlay o69/OG -3 for $100. That .5 will get you everytime.

Kemper County can consistently throw the ball which is something Noxubee has struggled defending and something that Enterprise doesn’t do much of.

Noxubee losing this past Friday night is prob the worst thing that could’ve happened to Enterprise. Coach Young will have them boys ready to make a statement Friday night.

Lol it’s always something with him. Like you said Lamar was outcoached by Simpson. Simpson could’ve easily laid down when they went down 27-14 but they stuck with their gameplan, hit some big plays and their defense came up big on 2 late 4th down stops.

I still can’t believe them shameful refs threw an INT in the red zone. Then them shameful refs had the audacity to turn right back around and let a ball go through their hands causing another INT.

Lol the refs had nothing to do with Lamar’s DB and S biting on a run fake allowing Simpson’s WR to streak down the sideline wide open. The refs had nothing to do with Lamar not wrapping up allowing long TD runs.

This is the best team Enterprise has played all year and the worst team Noxubee has played. Noxubee by at least 20 at home.
