Pretty much went chalk last night. Thought might have a couple upsets the way it was looking but both Colorado and NC State pulled it out late. Sad news was Minnesota wasted a lot of good fireworks when they went off right after missing the game winning FG against UNC. ACC May have pulled out some wins last night, but none were very impressive.

All those “Come To St. Joe” billboards in Lake Village would have to come down.

Greenville St. Joe would make a nice addition to 1A if they were to ever come back to MHSAA.

Also I know it’s against UAPB but 10 drives with 10 TD’s is pretty impressive. Now what can they do next week against Okie St?

Strangeness during the UAPB/Arkansas game. UAPB was penalized at the beginning of each half for not wearing contrasting uniforms against Arkansas. I’ve seen USC/UCLA and Florida/Georgia do it all the time.

Just a couple quotes from last years Enterprise/Mize thread… Before the game which looks very familiar “All we gotta do on defense is stop # 6 because he"s Mize only good player and force Mize to pass because Mize passing game ain't worth nothing” “Mize is too slow to beat Enterprise.” After the game “I need to get some things off my chest. Jimmerson needs to make some changes on offense. I been having problems with my phone so Icant post during games but somebody needs to be benched. This is the worst Enterprise offense ever. Our defense gets tired in the 2nd half because our offense doesn't hold up its part of the bargain and we get beat in the 2nd half; it's what happened against Union and Mize and almost happened against Lake.”

He was medically cleared to play today but has to sit until week three because apparently MHSAA rules says you have to have so many practices in pads before playing in a game.

It might get fans who are expecting to put up 70 points restless but I don’t expect to see much from the passing game for the first two weeks anyways. I think Kiffin will rely on the running game and not open the playbook up.

Na everything I’ve been told is they’re just taking all precautions to have him completely 100% for the SEC part of the schedule and are able to do so with the solid play this summer of Cayden Lee and Ayden Williams. He played the other night in the scrimmage prep. Same is going for Prince.

Mize is better than they were last year from what I’m hearing and it’s a Mize team that held Enterprise to 0 first downs til late 4th quarter in a 21-0 shutout that could’ve been worse. As far as Union goes, they lost almost all their productive skill players on offense and defense got hit hard by graduation as well. There’s no question Mize is a solid team this year. Union is a question that’s getting the benefit of the doubt in polls because of Bug being a talented QB in his senior year. That’s why at the moment a loss can be predicted to Mize and a tossup win against Union. That win against Union could easily be changed to a loss once we see what Union’s working with in week one. It’s really not that difficult to understand.

I’d be very surprised if we see Jordan Watkins or Juice Wells play week one for precautionary reasons. Prob won’t week two either.

On paper this is the year Shannon should win that region with what they have returning and what the others lost. However during his time at Calhoun City, I’ve learned you can’t overlook a Perry Liles coached team so Ripley might still contend.

My cousin is the kicker so gotta pull for the Chargers in this one lol. I’ll def be watching.

An under the radar game that could be interesting is #1 in FCS South Dakota St taking on #17 Oklahoma St.

Def a pick ‘em game. Part of me says take Hattiesburg and their high expectations on the season but other part of me wants to go off of past experiences in this game. Petal comes in winning the last 4 and are 4-1 on the road in the last 5 against Hattiesburg. Can Hattiesburg even this all time series at 12-12? Should be a good one.

Unfortunately the 7 classes has watered down almost every classification in the north to where there’s one or two teams then a nice size gap after that.
