  1. Those numbers came with reclassification sheet they put out. I did some 8th grade checking and I think there will be some changes come October. I am projecting 3A will add Moss Point, Jefferson County and loose Morton, Forest, Clarkdale, St Andrew's, Enterprise. 3A Will loose the last 3 along with East Marion to 2A. Bogue Chitto, Bay Springs, Sebastopol will move up.
  2. Hattiesburg Petal Brookhaven West Joned Terry Forest Hill Pearl 7A Natchez 5A
  3. South 2A 2021 Enrollment 1 Union 290 3 Raleigh 286 4 Wilkinson County 284 6 Amite County 281 7 Jefferson County 277 8 Pisgah 277 12 Scott Central 255 15 Heidelberg 246 17 Newton 245 18 Mize 245 19 Pelahatchie 242 20 St Joseph 241 ??? 22 Velma Jackson 236 24 Lake 235 31 Philadelphia 225 32 Puckett 220 34 Collins 217 35 Loyd Star 217 36 North Forrest 215 38 West Lincoln 208 40 East Marion 204 3A South Enrollment 1 St Stanislaus 442 3 Morton 436 4 Crystal Springs 430 5 Forest 428 7 Magee 413 8 Hazlehurst 409 10 Seminary 393 12 SE Lauderdale 391 14 JDC 386 16 Port Gibson 366 17 Franklin County 364 19 West Marion 360 26 OLA 332 27 McLaurin 330 28 Clarkdale 322 29 Tylertown 322 31 Kemper County 319 34 St Patrick 305 36 St Andrew's 300 38 Perry Central 294 39 Enterprise 291 40 Wessson 290
  4. I think they will have to split regions with Morton and Forest. Those schools along I-20 in 2A/3A maybe going north if they keep 40 schools per region. SB Live says an average of 42 that may change things
  5. 3A #3 Morton 436 #5 Forest. 428 both have a large 8th grade probably going 4a 479 and 486 with projected 2022 numbers #39 Enterprise. 291 #40 Wesson 290 2A #1 Union 290 #3 Raleigh. 286
  6. They will have to play the high school games at one school. You want a seat you get there early. Maybe they will add some bleachers or a new band bleachers.
  7. FOR NORTHEAST are not posting actual breakdown of potential regions. SB Live is saying 4A-1A will be an average of 42. I take that as 42, 42, 42, 47. However if you divide evenly it becomes 43, 43, 43, 44.
  8. I can bet they will build the facilities in less than 5 years after having a bond vote in 2023 election cycle time frame and raising their taxes even higher to plant a few trees etc
  9. If travel is an issue and it appears that 4A, 3A, 2A have 23 or 24 schools in the south do they forgo the 5 team regions. Like having; Region 1. 5 Region 2. 4 Region 3. 4 Region 4. 4 Region 5. 6 Region 6. 6 Region 7. 6 Region 8. 5 The smaller schools along I-20 need to step in say we stay South.
  10. Some fans do a better job of following their teams. Some fans can't take off work every Friday.
  11. Everyone on here needs to be discussing rankings
  12. Districts with 1A, 2A, 3A schools will be the ones to Consolidate. Whether it improves grades or not TBD. Costs of less teachers, and administrators vs extra fuel costs TBD. I think the private schools will grow. Most of those districts are up north. It didn't help with grades in the 70s.
  13. Then are you bussing the Jr high and youth league from one school to another and play if you remove the bleachers.
  14. It will only happen when the federal money runs low and you are forced. The question is will Mize and Taylorsville remain K-6th, K-8th, K-9th
  15. Adding bleachers to either stadium will be required or a lot of standing
  16. All I have heard is no one new will be hired until current positions hired. Not sure they will need 2 head coaches.
  17. Scheduled to open in 24-25 school year with athletics at one of the two schools
  18. Funding was and will be for athletic facilities and performing arts
  19. The board approved a new school before going to the people with the plans. It's a fine line sometimes when it comes to purchasing land. The vote to build should have come after talking to the people.
  20. Vote was for building Athletic Facilities and Performing Arts Center. Now they will play games either at Magee or at Mendenhall. The Mendenhall principle has already named the mascot. 49ers
  21. Roughly only 22 or 23 percent voted. 13,100+ did not show up to vote. 58% against, 42% For Perhaps they should have went to the people before voting to Consolidate. They closed on the land yesterday.
