Seems like we keep inventing new ways to lose, but truth is the same reasons just cycle themselves through - scoring droughts, lack of rebounding on the defensive end, no point guard, not much rim protection, head scratching moments that even the basketball novice can spot and left wondering why. At any rate, Kermit gets another year, let's just be real about that. If we don't lose 60 percent of our starting 5 next year during the season like we have this year and we don't do far better then it's definitely time to kick the tires on a new coach. It would just be time from a fan excitement/interest standpoint. It was painfully obvious by that crowd and the energy in the building last night that the support has moved on to baseball during the very moment in the season when things are supposed to be most exciting.

Kermit's not going anywhere. Now if there hadn't been any injuries and we'd had this type season, that would be another story. The injuries, though, will buy him another year. The only possibility is if he wants out, and how often does that happen?

Kermit will get one more season, but if it goes like this one that’s it. I have to add though that this team has been extremely hampered by injuries so I don’t know. There are just other issues and have been that don’t have anything to do with injuries and that is very bothersome.

Ole Miss rolling at A&M. This is a good bunch no doubt.

I don't think Ole MIss' record in women's hoops is misleading. Tonight's game is certainly another measuring stick on that. Shocking State folks no longer want to talk about women's basketball though. Sorta like Ole Miss people didn't the last few years. It goes with the territory of not being any good in the moment.

Campbell was so very steady on that OM defense, but the best player on the roster was Corral.

I much prefer bringing a player along and getting to know the guy. As long as it's not a disaster.

The Blanton thing is certainly unusual if for no other reason him electing to attend South Carolina. I may be wrong, but it seemed he had a better junior year in football than senior year. That’s not to say he didn’t still have a good season and certainly MRA did as well. The whole thing is a bit different though.

LSU should just take a Wildcat approach at the QB spot.

I sure hope State is favored by as many as possible by Thursday and that they move up big time in the rankings tomorrow night. Get everything about them as high as possible.

The City of Greenville did not get into their current situation in a hurry and like most any struggling city the public school system is going to be in the exact same boat. There are almost no exceptions. Look around you both statewide and nationally. That said, don't expect Greenville Public to get it turned around in a hurry, or if ever, honestly and sadly.

I have to believe this is just a heavy dose of wishful thinking on your part. P.S. - I hope you are very wrong. However, this will certainly be Liberty's "Super Bowl" as they say and we certainly have more, way more in fact, than our fair share of injuries, so I'm way more worried than I thought I would be a few weeks ago. Such is the life of an OM fan.

Took in a bit of this game Friday night at MRA of all places. I believe the final was 49-8 IMG. East St. Louis had some studs and a hell of a crowd vis buses 7 hours away but IMG had the best collection of high school talent on one team I’ve ever seen and it ain’t even close. And I’ve seen many. Their business model sucks though. How is there any real school or community pride? To me that’s what high school football is really about and when you are a boarding school football factory with kids from all over the country it’s just a weird deal. I realize they are super elite but I’d take community football over that deal any day of the week.

Score was closer than the game really was. I enjoy being able to say that.
