All Laurel. Man they are peaking. Good job Coach Earnest.. Hattiesburg, on the road in the playoffs is no place to break in a new QB.

I was thinking of you when I put that in there. LOL Seriously though our region was the toughest with the top teams as I have ever seen and I been watching all these teams play for many moons, Laurel and Hattiesburg are huge at the line of scrimmage on both sides. Brookhaven is huge everywhere and hasn't been challenged in weeks so they are coming in fresh. I get the impression that Pierson is sand bagging with their offense . He's going to unveil something totally new for the playoffs. He does it every year. There won't be no easy outs in that group from top to bottom.

The War Eagles fought hard in every game. Despite our extreme youth we were within a score in every game we lost against some real heavyweights. Coach Hankins did a fantastic job and got everything he could have out of this team. . We have everyone coming back plus some promising skill players moving up. This year reminds me of Marcus Boyles first year, Next season we are going to make some noise. Good luck to everyone from our region moving on. I'm going to go to one of these first round games, Get the sweep next week.

No way. Laurel barely had a couple hundred people there the other night. They don't come out like they used too.

I wish you would just go on ask the deonte out and stop the small talk but then again he could be a minor so I don't want to see you on to catch a predator, lol. For real, deonte is right the job that coach vance has done has been phenomenal as the season has gone on . So I have to give him credit even though I've never really cared for his antics. After last night to me, Laurel looks like the best made up team we have played all season. They are huge at DL and OL and have the skill people to make it happen. Wayne County doesn't have the skill people to close out games since Isiah went down. He either made our TDs or freed up the other backs by defences keying on him. We are too small at the line of scrimmage right now to play bigger teams week after week. They have done a lot better than anyone has expected and I feel very optimistic going forward. I think West has a lot of defensive players out so a Thursday game may be our best chance against them. Honestly I look for us not to be able to close this game out either but we play hard so the ball could bounce our way. Either way I'm going to get out and enjoy the playoffs . I think they are going to be as much of a toss up as they have in years.

Now do it there is a five way tie. Why did you leave that out ?

I got some crow to unpack and eat from our region. I will do it tomorrow or the next day when I'm not road weary, It was good to see my old buddys tonight,

Whiny Vance won’t be able to manipulate the refs enough to keep this even close. West defense will probably outscore Hattiesburg whole team.

Weigh the value of a degree from Vandy against a degree from USM and there’s your answer. Vanderbilt and it’s not even close.

I hate to hear that about yalls QB. Kid could sling it.

Somebody do the standings in Region 4 after today. I don' t have the pep to look it up after tonight

Good game Hattiesburg. Not having a kicker cost us this game well that and TDs called back. Seriously I've got to get this off my chest. Hattiesburg holds, clips, facemask, push in the back, pass interference on every play to start the game. The refs call most of it, breaks up the flow of the game trying to sort it all out. Vance whines and whines and whines on every call. Later he starts whining when we are on offense after every positive play we have yelling they aint calling the game fair because of all the penalties called on them. We had several drives stalled because of his whining and a TD called back late for nothing. This isn't the first time 've seen him do it either. I'm starting to think he tells his players to commit all them fouls early to cry for phantom calls. It worked in this game. I guess whatever it takes to be the difference in a close game. I think the refs honestly got tired of calling so many fouls on their offensive line and just stopped doing it to avoid the harassment . Hattiesburg overcame some huge third and longs after they were penalized but a lot were missed or just let go. Hattiesburg fought hard and squeaked out the win over our much smaller team. Maybe we will get to play again. we have to lick our wounds and get ready for Laurel. We will get bounced quick in the playoffs with our offense as stagnant as it has gotten

Wayne County hosting Hattiesburg I can't make it up there so I'll be watching on the pay per view $10 crystal clear stream. The link will be posted on this facebook link tomorrow https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=war eagle football

You can't let the George County QB stand in the pocket or he will pick the defense apart. Quick pressure from a different place every time. He's got a lot of weapons and if they get the ball Picayune will be trying to answer scores all night . That's the game to me because Picayune will run the ball on George ,

Praying for y’all merlin. I know everyone is in shock over there and football is a million miles n the background right now.

The hidden point here is they get to feast on cream puffs to finish the season while Hattiesburg, Laurel, West and us beat the crap out of each other. Dare I say they go into the playoffs fresher than the rest of our region.

The main thing that happened with Coach Hankins was that the new Supt took it serious and did the hire himself. He did the right thing and asked Coach Mangum who was the man for the job. Coach Mangum told him to call Coach Hankins and see if he would be interested so apparently they knew each other. As far as the assistants , Wareglefan and Wabo1 probably know better than me, but we only had three or four last year. I know the defensive coordinator was coach Chapman who is a beat supervisor now and offense was interm Coach Kat who left before school started. Our new defensive coordinator was under Coach Mangum so I think Coach Hankins knew him from that time and the offensive coordinator is a young guy Coach brought in from somewhere in Georgia.. A program can be turned around quick if the man at the top wants it to work and puts any political allegiances and old friendships aside. From the outside look in Pascagoula could be back amongst the best in no time because they have the athletes already in place they just need a fresh approach

I wouldn't be surprised if coach used this as some kind of rest week. Our kids need some rest and healing time I heard that the QB won't play and was limping pretty bad at school yesterday. Our best WR is definitely out with with his shoulder and number #2 who plays opposite hurt his hand too the other night.Maybe just as well because the backup is a much better runner than passer but he can get them lined up and can change plays Also our DE may be out , I don't know what happened to him and our top tackler at LB is being watched for concussion, A starting corner went down too late in the game thats how Natchez added that late score. To top it all off our offensive coordinator came back home sick the other night and can't attend school or practice until the symptoms go away. That trip to Natchez really done a number on this team . It may be best to go vanilla and get some moved up kids ready for Laurel next week. This game really doesn't make that much of a difference anyway and a loss would send Hattiesburg to George or Picayune in round one which wouldn't be bad for our district.

Either 27 or 26 -14 At one point late in the fourth Hattiesburg had the ball on the Brookhaven one yard line trailing 20-14 and couldn’t punch it in

Ok I thought they pulled you and congrats to everyone that secured a playoff spot tonight

Brookhaven is going to be trouble for someone in region four come playoff time and anyone going to their place in round two is going to be fighting an uphill battle

You should charge them five hundred dollars for getting them chains straight and making you drive all the way over there to do their work for them.

Final Wayne County. 22 Natchez. 14 Natchez out played us most of the game. They broke the first down chain at start. Got more chains took them twenty minutes to untangle them then had to get someone to man them out of our stands. Grass hadn’t be cut in a month, couldn’t see the numbers. They had eight people in the stands on the home side. Game constantly being stopped to talk to their coach who was constantly on the field. Anyway we coming home with a playoff Bert and Natchez and their bush league operation is home again for the post season

What time is kickoff ? A Saturday night game in Ltown ? oooof. If you don't have whiskey they will give you some as you come through the gate
