I will be out of town tomorrow when the school board has their meeting. I hope all goes well and they finally come to a decision. We all get on here and post this or that and want this or that lol. I’m just ready for it to be over and to move on and I can only imagine how an interim superintendent and school board members feel. The interim superintendent didn’t wasn’t expecting this to fall squarely on her but it has and all in all she’s handled it well. Someone posted something about the same old inept superintendent and school board. I don’t think so Wayne County would be smart to keep her as superintendent. As far as the school board goes I believe they have our kids best interests at heart. Will they all agree all the time absolutely not but for the most part they work through it. As far as the football coach goes Kevin Gandy and Tracy Lampley are longtime family friends my kids went to school with them. Mitch Evans I have never met but have watched some of his teams and believe he’s a good coach. We’re just ready to get back to Wayne County Football.

I was just told he had pulled his name very reliable source but who knows between now and Monday he could change his mind. This is crazier than the Lane Kiffen saga

Not only this but the new county office is on the campus of Wayne County High School so all the students will be there.

Probably hiring school bus drivers or giving cpr classes

I will say this also if the superintendent and board caved last night they are in for a long tenure. Every time something doesn’t go the way the community wants they will be back to change your mind by telling you if you want to be re elected you better do the right thing

It wasn’t a private meeting it was open to the public. When it come time to discuss the hiring of the coach they went into a closed session which was held in another room and was private only the board and superintendent. That lasted a little more than an hour and the president of the board came out and said they were tabling it until the next meeting.

Could be I’m not sure I haven’t had a chance to talk with anyone that would know. What I do know is that dragging their feet is turning people off to this job.

I was told a certain coach wouldn’t come for what they offered. They voted and approved a salary and announced it. So that may have been what it took for him to come that part is speculation on my part

What I am hoping doesn’t happen tonight is tempers take over. If the name I’m hearing is nominated let’s vote him in he’s a very good coach. I hate to say this but I don’t think the powers that be will ever give the two hometown guys a fair shake. But let’s not lose a good choice and risk making a bad hire. Speak your mind if allowed to it’s your right. I’m sure what police we have left will be there that’s another story the school system isn’t all that’s in shambles so is the city government lol.

I’m sure it was a combination but the superintendent was the only one to sign the letter. Yeah this meeting will go much further than football. It could affect who the Superintendent will be. It’s going to cause a lot of problems in Wayne County that they really don’t need right now

Well tomorrow the circus begins at 5:00 at the new office of the Superintendent on the Campus of Wayne County High School. They have refused to let several people speak at the meeting but that’s not stopping them and many more from showing up. This could be worth the price of admission

Nothing has been presented the meeting is at five Thursday. I believe the Committee has made their choice so I’m hearing now they have to see if the board approves.

IF it has they will make a recommendation to the school board Thursday and they will either approve or reject it before making it public

His contract is up in June but school would be out so that would be an option unless he’s found another job

I know that but with everything that’s becoming an issue here I still believe you have to.

Just know that a hornets nest is brewing in Wayne County… This is about to get ugly and I posted that it was a page or so back. Thursday’s board meeting just got real interesting

He’s a really good guy would not hate this hire. His wife was a Wayne Academy Graduate and standout basketball player there when they had the run of State Titles. Their kids attended Wayne Academy up until a year or so ago when they got tired of Chris being in one place and her and the kids here in Waynesboro. Very good family and I just feel if he’s put in for the job that they’re ready to come home they aren’t getting any younger.

They would be wise to push this hire back and see who the new Superintendent will be and maybe even new principal. I know if I was a candidate I would want to know who my boss would be. I would rather see that than just to hire to be making a hire and it be a bad hire.

Possible I’m sure but I haven’t heard that.
