  1. Yeah, any OM fan thinking 10 wins is guaranteed is delusional. 7-8 wins is realistic assuming the portal guys actually make it, OM doesn't have a ton of key injuries, and Alt/Dart are good.
  2. 2022 Overall SEC Football Team Rankings (247sports.com) FWIW, the updated rankings after portal transfers has Ole Miss 5th in the SEC. This obviously guarantees nothing, but it has potential for Kiffin having success the next year or two.
  3. Ole Miss beating LSU on the road was a nice surprise.
  4. 2 more great games this past weekend. Bengals vs Rams in the Super Bowl. Hopefully the SB will be as fun to watch as the past two weekends.
  5. Ole Miss hosted a less than average and probably equal Kansas State team and won by 11. It was a should win and kudos to Kermit and the guys for getting it. I wouldn't call it a nice win. I thought MSU may keep it closer, but losing at the #13 team in the country was certainly expected. Plenty of games left, I suspect MSU gets and NIT bid while Ole Miss has no postseason bid.
  6. I'm definitely not ready to declare Dart or Alt Corral or Kelly 2.0. I was impressed with Alt with the Sugar Bowl effort as a freshman. I can see possible potential with him, very unproven though. Dart played 5ish games for USC did OK as a freshman. He's also very unproven with possible potential. Getting Dart was "huge" to me because OM definitely NEEDED another QB in the room and getting one that has a realistic shot of fighting for the starting spot is big.
  7. Seems like a done deal, I'll wait until it's official before getting excited. Definitely a huge pickup if true. Dart and Altmyer could be a good competition for the starter with a potential capable backup QB on the roster.
  8. Ole Miss hosted and lost to Arkansas 64-55. 10-10 overall and 2-6 in the SEC. I really like Kermit, and want to be wrong... I'm doubting he survives after this season.
  9. Ole Miss picked up a win over Florida last night in a make up game. I'm doubting it, but hoping Kermit is turning things around with this year's team mid season. A 2-5 start in the SEC (not to mention the 8-4 non conference start) is tough to come back from. Lady Rebs came in ranked this week at #24, nice job by Yo. 3 of the next for games are @ #1 South Carolina, vs #15 UGA, and vs #12 LSU. It's a good challenge for this team to find out how good they may be... or may not be.
  10. You have to believe it played a role in Ole Miss hiring him. He's seemed to have done a good job of recruiting and being a QB analyst for USC and he's also from Georgia so he knows the SEC landscape. Seems like a decent enough hire whether or not it lands Dart and the TE.
  11. Ole Miss hired Southern Cal assistant Dane Stevens and Kiffin has an in home visit with Dart today. No idea where Dart ends up, but OM is definitely in the game.
  12. Chiefs advance. That may have been the best game I've ever watched.
  13. Agreed, and the Bills/Chiefs game is the best one of all. 3 lead changes under 2 minutes and now headed to OT.
  14. Rams beat the Bucs. All road teams are winning this weekend so far, Bills over Chiefs coming up?
  15. 49ers upset #1 seed Packers on the NFC side. Last weekend was pretty boring, this weekend is much more interesting.
  16. No doubt. I like Kermit and am rooting for him, his seat is heating up though.
  17. Joe Burrow and the Bengals upset the #1 seed Titans. 3 interceptions for Tannehill, otherwise the Titans played pretty well.
  18. MSU men's basketball tops Ole Miss today, another split between the two teams as expected.
  19. Wildcard weekend went pretty much as expected, only the hosting Cowboys lost. Things should get more interesting this weekend. I'm interested to see how Burrow and the Bengals try to challenge the #1 seed Titans on the AFC side. Henry is back I hear, it SHOULD be a Titans win. Bills @ Chiefs, you have to think the Chiefs advance but both teams are playing so well right now. Packers should easily beat the 49ers, we'll see. Bucs have injuries on the OL and the Rams' DL is filthy, this could be the surprise upset.
  20. OLE MISS (WOMEN'S) BASKETBALL IS FUN AGAIN!**
  21. I suspected they would, and should have IMO. I also suspect Biden and the Democrats will change the rules and add more justices to the SCOTUS. I'd love to be wrong about that.
  22. Ole Miss should require the visiting team to wear maroon, got owned in Oxford by a pretty bad Missouri team.
