Not to derail, but what about the thumping West Harrison put on Poplarville? I honestly didn’t see that coming at all. Kudos to West Harrison. Gotta be one of the biggest wins if not the biggest win they’ve ever had.

It took OT for Greene County to beat East Central. Maybe they were more evenly matched than originally thought.

Do I even know where to begin with this game? I’m glad Picayune won this game, but man oh man if they don’t find a competent QB things may not be so good. The lack of hydration on this team was something else. Cramps galore. Special teams was a yo-yo tonight as well. Had a botched PAT, a non attempt at a punt, a kickoff returned for a TD. Now granted we had the made field goal and that’s obviously the margin of victory in this one. They’ve got a lot to work on this week for sure.

Why are you hung up on Petal dropping down to 6A to be competitive? They ain't gonna add another classification to help Petal. You are where you are and if Petal stays in the top 24 when reclassification happens in two years it won't change the status quo. But to Slick's point they really would have to drop to 5A or 4A to get to the finish line and cross it. It's very difficult to envision a scenario in either 7A or 6A where Petal could have greater success. That doesn't mean they won't be successful, but they would have extreme difficulties in winning their last game. If they dropped to 5A they would essentially have a litter free path to walk on.

I'm curious to see how Milner holds up tonight. That place would get absolutely destroyed when they would have the Marching Band Festivals there.

If they were to consolidate all the districts here in Pearl River County, it would make the Superintendent very powerful and they would find a way to add more chiefs to make up for it. They've already got so many more admins now than when I was in school. They got this thing called a lead teacher, do you know what that is? It's not a teacher, it's an admin. Also, the superintendent position needs to go back to being an elected position as well. That would be the only way mass district consolidation could work.

@panchowhen I went to Bay High last year they didn't take cash or GoFan. The only thing they took was plastic and their card reader wasn't working so I got in free. Imagine that.

I couldn't find the Varsity game on GoFan, so I think you could be right.

Do you know if Gulfport takes cash for tickets? I think they did a couple of years ago, but these schools that take cash for concessions and no cash for tickets seems to be an epidemic.
