Mitch has the same coaching philosophy at Seminary as he had at Taylorsville. We might get beat, but we will not back down from anyone. If Seminary kids buy in as the Taylorsville kids did, it could be competive for a short while. It takes time at a new school and the other poster was right. Offensively they go from one end of the spectrum to the other end.

EW & NW have a regular scheduled game. NW has been quarantined and this is their first game. EW played Okolona last week. This is their second game.

MRA was ok between the the 30 yd lines, but after that could do nothing.I left at the end of 3rd Q with Oakland threatening. It was a competitive game, but MRA was a little out of it's class.

PCS beat Silliman 42-2. It was 35-2 and over at half.

3 forfeits games listed by gridiron. Benton and Sylva-Bay, Canton and Amite, East Rankin and Oak Hill. 18-0 sems to be forfeit score. Benton, Canton snd ER benefit a win from forfeit. Hillcrest also got a forfeit over Delta Streets.

My nephew is a doctor and he has researched this a lot. Masks only work if everyone wears them and that is not happening. A Medical mask called a NP95 is the only one that will work by itself. The medical profession uses these and they must be stamped to indicale they are medical.

I watched all the games and came away with some thoughts on the teams. Too many teams to talk about each of them.Tri County, Heritage and Leake were the best there. Riverside out of La., Central Hines and East Rankin still need a lot of work and more talent. Madison & Greenville St. Joes, Carrol, Pillow fall in line next. Cannot tell a lot from a 20 minute running clock game. I forgot Winston and Copiah, they were fair.

PCS @ Lamar cancelled because of Covid outbreak at Lamar. Game was originally scheduled for 9/17 and moved so both teams could have an open date. Will probably be rescheduled for same date.

My info came from another coach at an MAIS school. If it happened this week, he would not be in team picture. I do not know. Someone who has additional info needs to chime in.

I just heard today that Ricky Black will be an assistant at Hartfield.

I know why two of last year's starters are leaving and it has nothing to do with dissatisfaction. The head coaches son is going with him to Seminary. The starting center is going to live with his father. Two good players and it is unfortunate for the new coach to be losing them.

Taylorsville's non-division games are Magee, Morton, Raleigh and Lawrence Co.
