Playing both ways is a state of mind. If a player hs to play both ways, he should not have to have his coach tell him to condition more. I am 80 yerars old and played in the 60's. It was still 48 and 60 back then. I loved playing both ways because I loved the game. How many of you remenber Chuck Benarick. Played center and Lb for the Eagles. Last name not spelled right.

2 team jamboree can play 2 regulation quarters. 3 team jamboree can play the other team 1 quarter each.

The Sept. 5th game between ERA and Pelahatchie game on the schedule was made by the former coach at ERA. The ERA administration called and said they would not play. There reasoning was it would not be in their best interest to start a rivalry with the Chiefs. They still have Richland and Puckett on schedule. You can walk from one campus to the other.

I have not been to one lately.I do know this, Alabama wins in the trenches. Their OL and DL are aways better than Mississippi's.

More than likely will move Kelly Causey up. He is the DC and has been a head coach.

Big mismatch in 5A game. Parklane scored on 1st drive of 2nd to make it 42 to 14. LA defense is getting shredded. Speed kills and Parklane is using it to score at will. Looks like Parklane is playing against air.

I do not believe I have ever seen so many penalties in the Marshall, Kirk game. You also had an ejecction.The camera caught the referee giving both teams a tongue lashing. Maybe instead of teaching the players plays, they should teach them the rules. Very sloppy game. One more thing and this is on an official. There was a completed pass on the sideline. The official was standing right next to the player who caught the pass. Ruled a completion and stepping out of bounds after catch. The receiver broke loose from the tackle and could have gotten more yardage. They reviewed the play and he did not step out of bounds. My point here is, why review? The minute that official blew his whistle, the play is dead. It was an inadvertent whistle. It makes no difference what the review saw.

Concerning the Newton-Mize situation. I think that was the only way to go. Newton is the furthest East and there longest drive would be about 45 minutes to Pucket. They are next door neigbors to Lake and SC. they are about a 40 minute drive to Pelahatchie. You could swap them out and it still would not make a lot of difference.

Very nice except for visitor seating. Bring your chairs. It would be a tough call, but I would not bring band. Help with some seating.

I was sitting on Gc side. He was half a yard short according in the measurement. If you want to debate the spot, talk to the official who spotted it there.

NW stills holds the points record. They scored 759 and averaged 47.4 points per game.

Great ballgame. It went back and forth . GC defense had to step up and they did. Deuce missed some scoring throws in the first half, but in the end he made it happen. He is something special.

My son is a coach. Schools know what classification they are in. They do not know what region they will be in.

Interesting, I coached at Greenwood in the late 60's and early 70's. I was there when we intergrated fully in 1970. We had some good teams. We were in Big 8 conference and had over a thousand students in 9-12. My how things have changed.

You guys talking about conditioning and cramps must not have played on a wet field. Uniforms become wet, ground is soft. I played from junior high through college but did not have to play on a wet field very much. Sometimes you can be in good shape and still get them.
