As smart as this sounds they were literally a once in a lifetime tip drill away from back to back state titles. I enjoyed watching them lose though.
-
bo is onto something here
-
Ole Miss BP pulled a State tonight. BB’s and HBP are killers. And that was when the game changed in the seventh inning with the back to back walks.
-
OM’s bullpen didn’t have it tonight, gave up 5 runs in the last two innings and UNC got the win. OM vs Troy in a loser’s leaves town game on Sunday afternoon.
-
19 D1 recruits wasn’t enough for Hardin and company to win it last year and it will be the same this year also. In 7A it takes horses and scheme. One of those is lacking more than the other.
- Last week

absolutely. T town don't want no projects
-
So are these “recruits” top players at schools that they’re moving from?
-
"If you ain't crootin', you ain't tryin'." Isn't that the motto?
-
I will say that we’ve been on a run the last few years where a team that seemed like one of the best 1-2 teams for a while ended up winning it…. That would lend itself strongly to this being Georgia’s to lose. I think you’re going to get three Texas vs Georgia games before it’s all said and done. I don’t feel great about Bama or OU’s chances on that side.
-
CWS preview: Very seldom does a first time team succeed. WV & Troy will bow out early. Bama will play well but go out after WV & Troy. OK & UNC could be dark horses. OM, GA & TX are my favorites to make the finals. The winners of the GA/TX and UNC/OM games will be the favorites in each bracket. I am going to go with Georgia to win it all. To quote Jake & Elwood “We are on a mission from God” They just seem to be on another level this year and I think it will carry them through.
-
I'd be thrilled if he did. Or maybe someone at OS can mentor him.
-
He needs to reach out to Gulfport for the QB connection. Tell Wyatt to find him a QB and one magically appears for a state title run. Keep their out of state house get the parent a job in the district and find them a place to live.. Done deal.

NIL or should I say the College Sporfs Commission is slow a approval of NUL funding. Today 2 athletes at USC and Stanford files suit against all involved including the NCAA, conferences, commissioners, etc. These lawyers are out here to get rich now. Legally all you have to do is transfer by moving the family to another school district.
-
The chairman of the education committee is a big time Starkville Academy person. He should be removed from the committee.
-
Maybe so but ALL the ones that I am aware of with Tupelo from various other schools were decided after football season last year and they are making bonafide moves.
-
Maybe, but they likely won't have teeth. Recruiting is commonplace in high school athletics. If larger programs aren't recruiting, then they aren't keeping pace. On the coast, Ocean Springs was probably the first offender dating back to the Ryan Ross days. Now they're one of many engaged in it including my alma mater Pascagoula. Let's just say our new coach is dissatisfied with the QB position as it stands.
-
If Skylar Meade isn't already getting serious HC looks, just wait and see if he wins a few games in Omaha.
-
A Troy/Alabama championship would be outstanding.
-
Yes, but at the same time, no. Now that college recruits get NIL the colleges are offering more money to kids that stand out in larger classifications, on average. There are kids being told directly that they can get 50k a year as is but if they go up a couple school classes and perform the same they can get 75k. That drives a lot of the transfers. There are pending lawsuits in several states now where school athletics governing bodies denied transfers from kids we were told this. Then lawsuits were filed arguing that former coach/school and state athletics body had impeded the kids right to future income. This involves federal income laws. This is precisely why some states are allowing high school nil and school choice laws to pass. MS is too far behind. Or too many people in state legislature and/or the MHSAA are trying to find a plan to have it pass so that they themselves profit off of it first. I’m waiting ti see when the first lawsuit hits and what dominoes fall after that.
-
I’m sure every single 7A school trying to do so. Tupelo, Starkville, Oxford, Madison central, Clinton, Brandon, petal, oak grove, Gulfport, ocean springs are all big time recruiting from the text groups I have seen. Some schools hide it well, some are blatant and basically dare MHSAA to try to stop it. It will take state legislature passing laws to stop or allow it. MHSAA only cares if it affects their money or if the right person complains. There will eventually be some lawsuits popping up over it. You can about bet on it.
-
Now they Asst Supt of this, for that, and for other. Like 7 or 8 Asst Superintendents in Rankin County.
-
And it looks like Lemonis may be a serious candidate to get that Coastal job. Would be an interesting situation for him there. I am not sure I’d go that route if I were Coastal’s AD.
-
There is an arms race in 7a. Tupelo isn't the only one getting "random" and "surprising" move ins.
-
aw yea they full force doing this.
