Ole Miss has a tough outing to open with. I’m a big Jeff Brohm guy and think Louisville will be in ACC contention as long as he is there. If there wasn’t such a talent disparity, I would take Louisville to win right here. But Pete somehow managed to bring back IMO the best QB and maybe the best RB in the nation. That alone gets him above .500 this year. I really like Joe Judge, Frank Wilson, and Baker. This will more than likely still be a top 20 offense. The big question is defense. Pete wasn’t exactly the cream of the crop from a coordinator standpoint, but they still had great defenses in his time because of the recruiting. Have to imagine that won’t sustain now that Kiffin is gone. Not that Pete isn’t a great recruiter, but I don’t think they’ll be able to replicate the last few years of Kiffin’s tenure. I’ll take Ole Miss 21-17 No idea what to think of Clemson and LSU. SMU (-3) v Florida St. Both of these teams have some dudes. Norvell could be gone by November this year. FSU pulled a tough ACC slate and then have Bama + Florida OOC. FSU will be the biggest job open this season unless Norvell lights off a powder keg this year. I’ll take SMU 32-20 Auburn (-7.5) v Baylor. Byrum Brown may be the freakiest athlete in the SEC this year. The most violent QB I’ve ever seen. Really looking forward to week 3 with Auburn vs Florida. Floridas probably in a better spot right now because of the roster they were able to bring back. I like both hires from each team, and the staff Sumrall brought in. Golesh is going to need a little more time to turn his program around than UF. UF has the ability to upset some folks this year. But back to this game, I’ll take Auburn in a close one vs DJ Lagway 17-14

Mize can win it, they had their chances to win it last year. But if they do, they will have to do it without their best player. He will be out tonight.
-
Mize will be without their best player tonight. Serving a one game suspension against PCS.

It’s a complete and total overreaction to shootings that occurred in Simpson county last weekend. I don’t know what they think moving the game up 1 extra hour will accomplish. People just make decisions just so they can say they made a decision. Doesn’t matter if it makes any sense or not

Lebron James is going to retire and join Akron after this season. He will have full eligibility. LOL -
Had shootings in simpson co last week
-
Well it appears that college eligibility will be wide open. Play in the NFL for 5-6 years, get cut and then simply return to college and play football and take a few more classes. Honestly, I really don’t see how that can be stopped. And that applies for all sports.
-
What is going on there? I heard the game is moved up to 6pm and security will be to the gills. Anyone shed any light on this?
-
Looks like a very long year for Quitman and West Marion.
-
I’m definitely in the minority that wants to see LSU win big this year. I think a lot of the Kiffin hate is hypocritical.
-
Now I don’t care if they’ve played in the NFL, XFL, NBA or Banana Ball. “College” players aren’t amateurs anymore. They’re all paid professionals. However that’s not the rule. In my opinion it should be changed. Doesn’t matter as long as you have playing eligibility left. 5 years to play 5 or whatever it is now. To me it’s a matter of who is in charge and what are the actual rules. The NCAA says one thing. The SEC says one thing. Then a “favorable” court judge says another. That’s got to stop.
-
0-40 each vs. East Marion and Columbia. Not really very impressive.
-
The Lane Brady era at West Marion is off to a bad start to say the least.
-
Agreed. I guess because it’s basketball and not football? Either way, should have ended that back then
-
66-14 was the final for Heidelberg and Quitman. Quitman’s defense is non-existent. They are in for a long year
-
I earlier saw a score of 52-7 Heidelberg over Quitman in the 2nd quarter
-
If it’s someone like Trinidad, load your weapons SEC we’re going to war. But this is over a 2nd string TE and an undrafted DT. It’s not worth losing a conference membership over
-
Where was this SEC intervention when Bama was actually playing a former pro player last basketball season.
-
1-9 last season
-
I did not know that HC had been terrible in the recent years.
- Yesterday
-
Umass with 16 straight losses up on Rutgers 24-7 in 2nd qtr
-
All the college players are professionals now, don’t know why anyone would argue that
-
I believe it’s this year they do them around October but don’t release them until Championship week. I could be wrong but I think it’s this year
