  1. Past hour
  2. Had a UT orange guy tell me today that ole miss would lose 5 and the first one willl be sunday in nashville...........
  3. Talking about Brady caused me to go and look at stringers schedule because Wayne Academy play them and I was looking for the date. My first reaction was why are they playing all these non-district games in the middle of their region play. Upon further examination, they only have three raging games. Three. I’m out of touch with the smaller classifications and too lazy to look it up. Is 2A and 3A the same as this? What’s the cutoff point? There is enough schools in this state to have more damn region games than that. When did they do the attendance numbers to draw it up for the next go round?
  4. Even most SEC fans are now Clemson fans even if it is for one Saturday night only. lsu loses both ways regardless of the outcome of the game.
  5. Today
  6. Clemson is gonna win. LSU entire season is about to implode
  7. It is two days until kickoff of the season and the whole country is talking about LSU and the SEC suing each other. And Kiffin too, because of course. Clemson winning in Tiger Stadium on Saturday would be the funniest outcome of the weekend, IMO.
  8. Why does Lanier winning surprise you? They have been solid a couple years and Harr Central has been terrible
  9. Yep completely left them off. smh. Glad you called me on that one. One of the better locations to be compared to most of these schools also.
  10. North Forrest didn't attempt a single pass in that game. EL appears to have some good coaches.
  11. I agree the protected was B.S and I can assure you I didn’t want to go to Holmes but I was one of the lucky “protected” players in their district and had to go there instead of Northwest after asking to be taken off. It kept it from being so lopsided though. As @HammerDown74stated is true now but was really true back then… any team really could win any week. 1990 - ItawambaRegional Runner-up 1991 - NorthwestNJCAA National Runner-up 1992- NorthwestNJCAA National Champion 1993 - Mississippi DeltaNJCAA National Champion 1994- HindsState Champion 1995HindsState Champion 1996HindsState Champion 1997HindsState Champion 1998Jones CountyState Champion 1999NorthwestState Champion 2000HindsState Champion 2001Jones CountyState Champion 2002HolmesState Champion 2003Pearl RiverStarted historical 4-year run 2004Pearl RiverNJCAA National Champion 2005Pearl RiverState Champion 2006Pearl RiverNJCAA National Runner-up - now compare that to the recent list of champions that is composed of 3 schools with Colin once. Then you had 8 different champions in 16 years. Now we’ve had 4 in 16 years.
  12. This isn’t the first time Buddy’s voiced an opinion in such a manner. There had to be some other tension between him and whoever had the ability to fire him
  13. The protected list was B.S. It definitely was not right if a player was going to have to play JUCO ball that he HAD to play in that JUCO'S district or not play at all. If a kid lived in Laurel but didn't wanna go to Jones he should have been allowed to play elsewhere. Open recruiting is definitely better
  14. And it’s beautiful to watch
  15. Yesterday
  16. Mancuso and Hig have evolved the Wing T into a passing game. The right qb understands the handcuffs then it works probably better than other offenses I have seen.
  17. The only alterations of these standings will possibly be the team directly above or below them. North Ms final standings will be. NORTH: NWCC EMCC ICC Holmes MS Delta Coahoma South Ms final standings will be. SOUTH: Gulf Coast Jones Colin Hinds East Central Pearl River Southwest MACJC was more competitive when you had the protected lists. The SEC is much more competitive with “less” of gap than MACJC. The fact you’re arguing this shows you ignorance on the issue. Teams like Holmes, Hinds, Pearl River, and Miss Delta used to win state championships when they could protect the top 20 players in their districts. As it currently is Northwest and Gulf Coast will always get best available and everyone else fights over the scraps.
  18. I wasn’t trying to call them bad coaches at all. They both won state titles and the Raleigh coach having them right there every year. WC just came out of a bad situation with it so no way was that going to fly again. They would probably have to take a job with questionable resources too to move up in the higher classifications.. Like Chunk wrote outside of Picayune or West Point they are kind of painted into a corner. It’s an interesting dynamic
  19. The majority of schools do not run wing-t in Texas. But there are still several schools that do. There will never be a time anywhere where the wing-t is non-existent.
  20. Just outta curiosity is wing t still a thing outside of Mississippi? I know here in Texas its nonexistent.
  21. Well he’s got 2 state championships, Raleigh has 2 state championships, and Mancuso has like 9. West Point doesn’t run a wing-t but they also don’t run the spread. But I get it, some fans just dont really want to win unless they see the ball in the air.
  22. I forgot about his wing offense. I remember not wanting to hear anything else after finding that out. It would never work at WC and i don't want to see it here ever again. If they were going to put a Buffalo Wild Wing in the city I would lobby against it. It's probably the reason no bigger jobs have came after him. Raleigh coach too.
  23. I enjoy MSJUCO football. Lets me get a head start to a weekend of football. And being from Hattiesburg I have PRCC Jones and MS Gulf Coast within 40 miles to go watch a game. Tomorrow is the only week where all 3 are on the road at the same time. After that my Thursday night are booked as one of them will be at home for the rest of the season.
  24. Since UGA and Alabama have won 11 of the last 12 SEC Championships, does that make the SEC less interesting? I just simply think that the gap between #1 and #14 isn’t as huge as it used to be. Heck MS Delta beat Co-Lin. Anybody can beat anyone any given Thursday.
  25. He was one of the finalists to get the West Jones job when Pierson retired. Word was he really wanted it. Soso and Stringer border each other so he wouldn't have had to even move. They viewed him to be a really good coach, but the Wing-T baggage scared the powers-that-be and they went with Reynolds. I was at the Enterprise/Stringer game. It was back an forth well into the 3rd QTR and a couple of turnovers proved to be the difference. Both teams were well coached. Stringer will be in the mix in South 1A, as long as key players stay healthy. Enterprise may make some noise in 2A also.
