West Jones pretty much locks up a first round home playoff game with a win over Terry this week.
-
A lot of schools aren’t getting what they paid for also.

One thing about the NIL era, once the season starts, a lot of the players haven't gotten what they came for. That may be some of what we see with LSU and Texas.

I think you missed what I said. I didn’t say we are dealing with injuries. I agree everybody is beat up right now after 7 games. We on the other hand have been beat up since week 2, and actually are getting healthy for the first time. We are getting healthy right here at district time while everybody else is usually getting banged up -
I just know you can talk yourself into circles by comparing results among all these teams. If you go by the transitive property, State has transitive wins over Texas and Ohio State already. lol.
-
I do not bet but trying to pick games based on the betting odds is an uneducated guess at best. LSU is a 12 1/2 point favorite over State and I have no idea about how that game may go. Ole Miss is a 6 point favorite on Missouri which sounds about right. Still I would not touch it either way.
-
Will be 9 vs 13 in Oxford next weekend. And will be 16 vs 22 in Baton Rouge…. And 16 is not LSU. lol. I can’t imagine anyone in America pegged that a month ago. Granted, LSU is currently like an 11 or 12 point favorite, but still.
-
You may get that game two more times. Could easily be the SEC title game and the national title game.

I’d imagine the teams left on your schedule are dealing with injuries as well. It’s week 8 everyone if beat up. -
Yes I had a brain fart. My mind still has trouble realizing a team that far south is in the north. Warren Central is my pick to win 6A again.
-
I forgot about Warren Central another team under the radar in 6A doing good this year.
-
Center Hill show did beat Grenada, that was a good win for Center Hill and that another team I left out and they're under the radar for sure in 6A
-
Bama and Georgia looked like an early 2010s matchup from a physicality standpoint. Despite the bad call, Georgia seemed to be the better team last night. Bet we'll get that game again this year. IMO the 2 best teams in the nation right now.
-
Did you forget that Warren Central is a 6A north team? No one in the north, nor any other 6A team, are likely to take them down this year.
-
Center Hill beat Grenada 28-14 Friday night. Grenada is 3-2 on the season.
-
SEC is UGA and BAMA and then lord have mercy...........
-
shannon is a good team and seem to be still improving as the season goes on. The IAHS game will tell a good bit and be big in playoff seeding. I don't know anything on Meridian other than they sure do seem much better than the past few years. Hernando is a far 2nd place to Tupelo in region 1 and will have a difficult first round region 2-#3 seed in playoffs. good season though. New Hope probably like west point and can't beat Pontotoc and their backup QB. Grenada and Lake Cormorant are the best 6A north teams it seems. One of them stands a good chance to make starkville the first weekend in Dec.

For the first time since week 1, Mize should have all of their players available. A couple still won’t be 100%, but everybody should finally be back in the lineup this week. Now is the time to make a run, if we can avoid more injuries. -
Shannon, Merdian, Hernando, New Hope, Grenada
-
Bama had some bad calls but for 70 years they have gotten all the calls. Georgia dominated the LOS and was the better team. KY-LSU was a fun game to watch tonight as well!!! Happy that SC got the win after the heartbreak of last Saturday. SEC is a muddled mess right now.
-
I don’t want to hear any Bama fans saying they got screwed after what the rest of the league has had to suffer through for years against them (but they had some bad calls). UF was a top 10 teams two weeks ago. LSU has been all defense and KY had them confused the whole second half. Oklahoma with a huge win. Congrats on their offense for that one TD that helped win the game 27-24. Missouri vs OM next week is a huge game. Wasn’t expecting that after State gave Missouri an L. Very entertaining weekend.

you right about that -
Kiffin losing makes the weekend just a bit better. Georgia with a heck of a win at Bama. Just a very interesting day all the way around. State @ LSU becomes an interesting match up. If we were fully healthy, I would like our chances but as it stands now, I just don’t think it will happen. How LSU responds will be something to watch as well. How this week goes before this game will be something to watch. Missouri-Ole Miss may be an elimination game with respect to the playoff. We will see.
-
Also it just occurred to me that State is going to be playing in Tiger Stadium next Saturday probably as the higher ranked team. How crazy is that?
-
Kentucky beats LSU in OT. Awesome game. Will Stein has gotta be the frontrunner for SEC coach of the year right now. Georgia beats Bama in Tuscaloosa. Big win for UGA. Maybe Kirby has finally shaken his Bama bugaboo. What a wacky day in the league.
