Not real sure what happened to our pen. Maybe those arms were tired but it was just horrendous. Yeah it was great to reach Omaha. Always the goal of the season.

Consolidation's strongest opponents are usually concerned about 1. athletics 2. a change in the racial balance of an institution, or some combination of the two. Bigger is not necessarily better as well all know. However, I fail to see how some communities expect to continue operating schools in very old facilities with a decreasing number of students without significant tax increases. District consolidation is probably a bigger soap box for me because it's dumb to have this many superintendents in a state our size just because it's the way it's always been. But a degree of school consolidation is also needed. As posted earlier the legislative committee formed will do next to nothing except possibly a few district consolidations but these conversations are necessary.

Likely not but if it's MC or NW Rankin taking your players or vice versa I can see where it causes issues. Think about on the coast where all the 7A schools are within 40 miles of each other, there are always schools filing complaints on transfers down here.

In all honesty, why should any of us as fans care if a team openly recruits or not? If you are say a Brandon fan, why would you be upset if Petal or Oak Grove had numerous D1 players from other high schools transfer in. Its really not any of our business what other schools do.

If we are headed for a Georgia vs UNC final, which it feels like for now, that would be a really fascinating matchup. We all know what Georgia’s offense is, and UNC’s bullpen is special, so that would create some really interesting matchups.

Ole Miss was done after Friday night. After they lost the first game they were never going to win their bracket. It was all predicated on winning the first game. It may not have made any difference but I do not understand changing your pitching rotation. Elliot was your Friday night starter all year. Stick with what brought you. And 83 I agree with you. Why bring in pitchers in situations that they have not pitched in all year. And then you fail to pitch some of your guys who have pitched well during the season. But being a final eight team is still a great accomplishment. And regardless I don’t see anyone taking down Georgia at this point in time. Troy is still a dangerous team. They are playing with fire in their hair. With nothing to lose and they are just riding the crest of a wave that does not appear to ready to crash anytime soon.

Ole Miss goes 0-2 in Omaha, sent home today by Troy. No season that ends in Omaha is a failure, but I’m sure a lot of OM fans thought they’d be around longer than two games given the side of the bracket they were on. It seemed fairly straight forward to me. OM’s offense was what it was the whole season and never changed, very boom or bust. Their pitching carried them to Omaha but then failed them once they got there. It’s a little hard to believe Townsend never threw a single pitch in the Super Regionals or the CWS. Especially today when their pen was struggling mightily.

Baseballs a weird sport and anything can happen. But I dont think anyone is close to Georgia at this point

Thats the thing, that pride stuff needs to stop in some of these places and they will be forced to consolidate.

It’s difficult to even put into words what a breath of fresh air what pound has brought to the football building. You feel the happiness just radiating being around the kid .It’s hard to imagine the results aren’t manifested immediately. Hearing Corey Reynolds was hired as the scapegoat coordinator at Laurel for when they fail. . They just got worse, lol

You could look at Tupelo players the last 2 years and they shouldn’t have lost a game. They had 3 times the athletes that Oxford had last year and narrowly managed to escape and even play in the title game. Watch their games online. They walk around everywhere and play with very little effort. If they were such great coaches why do they need everyone else’s players.

Nettleton is a “line district”. It falls within 2 counties. Hard to consolidate that one.

Ole Miss BP pulled a State tonight. BB’s and HBP are killers. And that was when the game changed in the seventh inning with the back to back walks.

OM’s bullpen didn’t have it tonight, gave up 5 runs in the last two innings and UNC got the win. OM vs Troy in a loser’s leaves town game on Sunday afternoon.

19 D1 recruits wasn’t enough for Hardin and company to win it last year and it will be the same this year also. In 7A it takes horses and scheme. One of those is lacking more than the other.
