Wonder if BS missing Brady now
- Today
-
Enterprise up 28-8 in the 3rd quarter over bay springs. BS head coach has been ejected
-
That sounds like last year score. I believe they play tonight (10-9).

Enterprise up 20-8 over bay springs at the half

I agree. In saying that, on tiebreakers I know you can only get a 12pt max win to keep teams from running up the score. So I would for sure try to get a 12pt win or more as much as i could. Even if up by 9 I would either try to score a FG or TD in the last seconds of the game if possible. You never how much you will need on a tiebreaker.

State has a lot of depth for sure. I’m expecting the offense not be as good as it was last year, but still good. And I think their pitching can be among the best in the country.
-
Well after losing to Long Beach I can understand that thought. I heard Long Beach did a great job of keeping Gautier’a offense off the field with long, time consuming drives and forcing Gautier to have to take advantage of minimal possessions. Sometimes the better team doesn’t always win, (look at you guys at PRC last year). I honestly believe the region race will not be settled until the final week.
-
I’ve said before, but if Hancock gets some defense they can definitely make some noise. I certainly think they would make the playoffs over Gautier.
-
That’s better than a high noon at Pascagoula on Halloween LOL
-
Another thing they did last night was have two full six inning ball games. Even though State was the designated home team for both contests and had both games won in the top of the 6th for each ball game, they still had to play the bottom of the 6th for each. I guess that was to give both bullpens an equal number of innings. If they didn’t do that Auburn would have only pitched 10 innings instead of 12.

Pearl/Meridian moved to 6pm tomorrow
-
The whole stadium knew Causey was going for two once they scored in OT. That’s one thing you have to respect is he will go for gold when the time comes I thought Petal did a good job of creating mismatches for Brown to get the ball in open space and he made some key plays to keep them in it when I felt like OG had opportunities to put the game away. Seemed like two pretty even teams to me that could easily play again in November.
-
Despite the outcomes overall, I still believe Picayune, PRC, Gautier and Pascagoula are good enough to win the region and Hancock and Long Beach are showing they are good enough to throw wrenches in things. Shoot, who is to say they cannot win it either?
-
They’ll need to beat 2 in-district to have a shot. Nobody would assume they’d stand a chance vs OG, Brandon or Petal. So they’d needs wins vs NWR and Pearl to have a shot at playoffs. We’re about to find out tonight. A loss vs Pearl means they’ve gotta stand around and wait on the other Region 3 teams to beat up on each other to get back into the convo

I was told last saturday that it was his MCL but not sure if accurate info.
-
He played game 2 at 1st and Craddock played game 1 at 1st. Honestly it looked like a more natural position for Craddock, but Milewski did good. State tried to turn a double play last night in game 2, but the ball didn’t get to Milewski in time. That wasn’t his fault at all. Burke Lee Mabeus started game 1 at catcher and did great. James did game 2 at catcher and he ended up getting another triple in one of his at bats and he scored on an Auburn wild pitch. Another thing they did last night was have a 10 man lineup for the at bats instead of the traditional 9.

I'd go research Amory soccer and see how many times their boys and girls have lost in north half or the state championship to a cruitin school. I'm sure there are more but that one just comes to mind.
-
Shocked no players or coaches from Shannon or Pontotoc got punished. What about Pontotoc QB any news on his injury?
-
I have said from the beginning that Region 4-6A is as wide open as it ever has been. Going to be interesting to see it play out
-
Just thinking out loud but in 1A you have Tupelo Christian and Resurrection on two different ends of the state. That's one place it wouldn't work. I don't think this is the problem some schools are making this out to be. What have these schools won in the grand scheme of the association? Not much compared to some public schools. Unfair? Maybe, but I'm not sure anything in life can ever be completely fair.
-
how did milewski look at 1st?
-
Louisville beat Kosy 28-24, i think that was the score
-
Could they put all the private schools in their own regions separate from the others?
-
Congrats to Long Beach. After 1 game of region play region 4 has pretty much been turned upside down compared to past years. If last night was any indication on how the rest of region play is going to go, get ready to sort out a lot of tiebreakers and point differentials to determine seedings and who gets in. As for the two games played in region 3 last night Hattiesburg did what everyone else will do and made quick work of Jim Hill. And I thought George Co was going to have the biggest upset in the state last night until a late West Jones TD gave them a narrow win. Terry and Forest Hill play tonight.
