  1. Past hour
  2. I'm not confident that either will be 95% by the oklahoma game or later for that matter. I see your point though.
  3. Heck, maybe the opposing HC had fired this HC at a previous stop. It could be anything really but one thing is certain that folks are soft and complain.
  4. I'm ok with KT sitting if he's not 90-95%, Fluff too. I think 5 of the last 6 with those two healthy are winnable games.
  5. Remember what assuming does! It only makes and A** out of u not me. This was 100% malicious if you bother to read the back story. Nice try Dub. Have a nice day
  6. Businesses make decisions every say. Some bad some good some right some wrong according to whom you speak with. If you make rules years ago you should have been going by tge rules every 2 years during reclassification. So I do wonder if St Andrew's, St Patrick, Sacred Heart, TCPS, among others not named St Stanislaus or OLA were never being multiplied by 1.5. Those 2 should be mad if they were being doubled. Maybe the multiplier should be the same is the reason the lawyers said let's wait and study the case. And Booneville will be mad at PCS if they both get stuck in 3A or 4A together.
  7. That's a heck of a chasm. When did the hot clock start?
  8. It would be prudent to hear this coach's side of the story. Maybe he wanted to practice his kickoff team on executing and recovering an onside kick for bigger games that come later. Who knows. If so, he probably should have done it at 14-0 or 21-0. Wouldn't have looked so bad and he had to know very early in this game it was going to be a blowout. It's also possible that a special teams coach called it on his own, and the head coach didn't know it was coming. But as others stated above, if this was his very 1st offense of bad sportsmanship, this firing was not justified.
  9. Today
  10. Disregard that score. That was a fake post somebody made on Facebook. These teams don’t play until tonight
  11. I sense a tad of sarcasm here.........I also have a sense of we wouldn't be in this situation with the multiplier were it not for the said director..........
  12. So do you pull him from the mayor's office and put him back on the sideline? That would seem like the most logical and most unlogical thing to do.
  13. Al Jones took the heart and soul of that program when he left. They were one tough out when he coached there.
  14. 1 school crying over a 2-8 or 1-9 record out is better than 2 or more teams out at 2-8. If your not winning your not excited anyway. I agree something different needs to be done for excitement but not at the state. The individual school has created excitement within their sports. Maulybe its me but u am not easily excited just more serious minded.
  15. Well per the director 7 classes was needed to increase excitement. I guess having 5 team regions and only one of those teams not make the playoffs accomplishes that.
  16. I’ve also been workshopping the idea that State has to sit Ka-Mario so we have to turn to Bil-Luigi I told that line to my wife and she told me I was a loser.
  17. Nothing exciting about having meaningful regular season region games and having to finish in the top 4 to make the post season?
  18. I'm told that coach Jennings of Calhoun city was ejected and the officiating was less than stellar.
  19. I think they’ll probably look better in about a month once their freshman QB has more seasoning…. So you know, just in time to play State. But yeah…. I think everyone saw the post-Pavia dip coming from a mile away.
  20. Calhoun City 30, Okolona 20 Final
  21. Those 6 classes numbers don’t increase excitement.
  22. I think you can go 32, 32, 32, 40, 40, 49 for football.
  23. In fairness, a lot of teams will likely right the ship while playing Vandy.
  24. pontotoc 41 caledonia 6 F
  25. Missouri-Ole Miss. OM seem to right the ship at Vandy. Missouri has played well since the State game. Missouri is very physical. If they get OM to play old school SEC football, this could be a close game. Simmons could be too hyped up for this game and will make some mistakes. Ole Miss makes it a track meet and wins comfortably 38-21. State-LSU. I have no idea. But here goes. LSU sleep walks an 11A start. They play very sluggish and State plays inspired football with the second string QB. Ultimately, LSU will win but not cover the 15 point spread. 24-17. I am going to ride Kentucky one more week. Oklahoma is flat after rivalry win over Austin. KY steals another road win over OK. 25-19. Alabama is flat after the deflating loss to Georgia. But Tenner will be unable to take advantage of Alabama’s ineptitude. Bama struggles to a 22-17 win. Florida-Texas maybe the ugly game of the week. Texas wins but Florida covers in a 16-10 final score. Georgia beats Auburn but does not cover spread: 34-17. Vandy over Arkansas but I have no idea what the final will be.
  26. I will always remember 2006. We played GC in the playoffs and no business being even in the game. But we were Meridian and GC did not really know how to win a big game. We kicked a FG late to win 17-14. Next year in 2007, we hosted GC for the South State in Ray Stadium and GC had learned their lesson and took us to the woodshed. They had 30-0 lead in the second half before letting off the gas and we scored a couple of garbage time TD’s to make the score look respectable. Meridian would not lose another game in Ray Stadium for four years after that beatdown. I have always thought George County underachieved over the years as they always seem to have good athletes and big linemen on both sides of the LOS.
