  1. Past hour
  2. Picayune will be just fine after looking at their upcoming schedule. Poplarville will be next real test and PRC will be up for that game.
  3. Today
  4. Kicking on your own really doesn't help much. You need a snapper and holder to help with the kickers timing
  5. We’ve had some issues but a freshman came in for OG and beat Germantown at the buzzer so the future is bright.
  6. We have plenty quality place kickers up here in the north.
  7. Most head coaches talk the talk of the importance of special teams but never back it up in the schedule for practices. They'll spend an hour on offense and an hour on defense and then give special teams 10 minutes. If they are a true kicker they are usual left to kick on their own.
  8. This type game will be major pre for teams like Kosy, who they'll probably see twice and also Poplarville who is my pick to make the final from the south.
  9. Baldwyn lost a key player recently and now has legal issues and won't be returning so they have some internal turmoil similar to what Grenada had last season.
  10. Who cares about your lil emojis if we lose! It wont be the end of the season if we lose! This just a big non district test to get us prepared for 4A! One thang bout Louisville we dont schedule cupcakes we want the best of the best! I can guarantee u the Wildcats gone come to play with anybody! Who tf your team is since u got so much to say
  11. It’s been this way 3-4 years now. Not just in high school but even in college and nfl kicks that were routine 10 years ago been getting missed a lot.
  12. Louisville is a very good class 4A team, probably the best in the State, but they will not be able to beat a very good 7A team like Starkville or a top team from Louisiana like John Curtis.
  13. Charleston looked terrible in a 24-14 win against North Panola so I dont think they are relevant. Baldwyn STRUGGLED to beat Kossuth week 1 and then got hammered by like 40 by Booneville. No way they would compete with those teams.
  14. I agree that this is partially true. Their schedule is laughable! Really it is. The only team that actually has a legitimate pulse in regards to their football program on Lafayette’s non conference schedule is Hernando. The reclassification has made 5A North as a whole very laughable to be honest. However, Lafayette is improved from the last couple of years and West Point is not good up front. Which is strange. Lafayette ran for 500+ yards Friday. That’s hard to do no matter who your opponent is. Do I think Lafayette will beat them NO. Is it possible if WP continues to slide. YEP!
  15. Gonna be straight crying Jordan emoji all weeks if yall choke!
  16. My guess is MHSAA had to ma K e a decision based on the handbook rules.
  17. Mississippi doesn’t utilize kickers enough. There is somebody walking the halls of every single school they can make a dang extra point. Our kicker kicked a 49 yarder this past Friday night that would have been good from 55
  18. I saw a lot of boxscores from quite a few high school games from the state this past weekend. One thing that stood out to me was the number of extra points being missed or teams who went for 2 every time. Do schools not have a special teams coach anymore or does the kicker snapper and holder not practice kicking fgs the entire time while the other players are practicing?
  19. Yesterday
  20. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility that the Egg Bowl is something like a 7-4 Ole Miss versus a 6-5 State and it feels like a toss-up. Or it could be a 9-2 Ole Miss versus a 3-8 State led by interim coach Phillip Montgomery. Who the heck knows. When you take emotion out of the first weekend, you can make a strong case that we didn’t learn much about either team this weekend that we didn’t already think. OM knows they have a very good QB. State has a lot of reason to be optimistic about Kamario. Both teams have questions at other positions. But a dangerous QB is a good starting point for any team.
  21. Just seen on the Leake County School District website that the game has officially been ruled a 34-18 Leake High School win.
  22. That roughing the kicker was so bad. It was a 56 yard FG AND the guy wasn’t even trying that hard to block it. If you’re not laying out don’t even get that close to him. OM’s defense was good when all they were concerned about was Lville running. After the QB started making some plays through the air, they gave up a lot of yardage. OM knows what they need to work on now though AND got the win. Can’t complain too much about that. OM will get better on offense which is scary, but they will definitely be a big play team. Tough to see Lacy go out early. I was surprised Lville’s QB got so much better after the half. I wasn’t sure if they’d score again at that point. They’re a solid team and that’s a good win.
  23. Whatever the "other" clock said, I don't see how you can give another play on the Michigan deal.
  24. Forest Hill is like I remembered football wise. Leave it at that. They have fun and look to enjoy just being out there with each other . I have the utmost respect for them and their parents for suiting up and playing. Their lives will be better off for it. Someone tell me about Northwest Rankin. Their defense looks like they lack a lot of size. Our defense will have to show up and our receivers will have to catch better for us to have a chance.
  25. If both quarter backs are still upright and healthy, the EGG Bowl will be massive. The Ole Miss secondary seemed to lose receivers downfield a good bit and I'm not sure who needs to step up on the Ole Miss Offense because I don't think they can simply expect Trinidad to pull a rabbit out of a hat late in every game. This could possibly be solved by a better defensive effort as well. I have no idea how many wins MSU will have by EGG Bowl time.
