Enterprise has several advantages over Raleigh. Raleigh is a one man show. One advantage Enterprise has is that instead of just having one super player we have several good running backs and we are not a one man show. Another is our depth; Raleigh has 35 players; Enterprise has 55 players. Enterprise also has a far superior kicking game than Raleigh. In a close game Enterprise could kick a FG; Perkins is also Raleigh's kicker and not as good as ours; he certainly cant kick FGs. Our offensive and defensive lines are just as good or better than Raleigh's. In the games I watched Raleigh play last year if you can shut down or contain Perkins you can beat Raleigh. No football team is invincible or pre-ordained to win the 3a championship. Enterprise is fully capable of beating Raleigh which is something some people on here need to understand. Raleigh's going to be a tired possibly beat up team by late November and Enterprise has a lot more depth. You really need to stop making asinine statements like this that I highlighted. This implies that until whatever point that your "backups" entered the game, that Lake had not gained a single yard. Please get a grip and get serious. And no, it's not going to be very hard for a top Division 1 recruit from Raleigh to run on your defense. Perkins is the #1 player in the state. Of course no ones going to be as good as him. Y'all might have an answer for the rest of their offense, but you won't have an answer for Perkins. We all know when it comes to the regular season Enterprise kills it in the pastry section then the playoffs roll around and you go to the butcher section asking for a lb of the Taylorsville/JDC thick bacon but don’t have enough to pay for it so you go to the prepackaged isle instead. That conventional wisdom usually comes from unbiased observers instead of someone who has been calling for a state championship since I joined in like 2008 or whenever it was then throw the coach under the bus when it doesn’t happen even though that coach has done more than the poster could ever do. The bracket says round 3 if they finish the same in Region putting them on the same side. Likey 1st round if one finishes 4 vs 1 ir 2 vs 3 respectfully. That doesn’t mean Enterprise can’t beat Raleigh in a given game, but it would take Raleigh having an off night and Enterprise being on their A game. I think Jimmerson has done as good of a job there as anybody could have done, and this guy here on MST wanted him fired a few years ago.
