heh ok

Be careful Tib. In 2018 I thought HHS was going to make a return trip to the title game. I was humbled that evening. So while Picayune is the prohibitive favorite to win it all again, an upset would not be that shocking considering that there has not been a repeat south state 5a champion in a while.

Thought I'd pop in for a minute. WP is young on defense but they looked pretty good against Brandon. Offensive line needs to get a little better but I think they'll get things going.

Vicksburg, Holmes County Central,  and Lake Cormorant are teams that I think could "possibly" dethrone West Point but not sure. Getting rid of our DC was huge for our defense. Completely difference from the spring game when he was still there.

Vott had you rather play the heavyweights earlier when they are getting their footing or at the end of the season after they have refined their game? I don’t like the way they put together the schedule and would like to know who did it.  It is what it is though and Wayne County will deal with it.

what about Neshoba Cent. they gave Wp run for their money last year at WP they said Neshoba Cent. got cheated in that game them 2 teams might up in the playoff again this year if Neshoba Cent have a good team

Didn't Neshoba lose a lot last year especially on defense? Also isn't the QB gone? Yeah there was some questionable calls by the refs. Our player didn't hear the whistle and kept running.  🤷🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️

I don't kno how to take Lafayette honestly. They've had WP on the rocks multiple times and blew huge leads. I think their opportunity has passed

Last season I didnt mind playing the light part of the schedule early. HHS was 0-4 heading into region play and needed to taste success to gain a liitle confidence. They were able to do that and by the time it came to playing Wayne Co, West Jones and Laurel they were playing their best football by then. Had HHS opened up region play against Wayne Co or West Jones I dont think they would have won either one of those. As far as putting the schedule together the coaches and/or athletic directors get on a zoom call or conference call at the same time to make out the schedule.

So does 5A North still run thru West Point this year, or will it run thru somewhere else?  It'll be interesting to see who represents 5A North in Hattiesburg this year.

Until someone knocks them off, 5A still runs through WP. If a anyone wanna do it this year is the year to do it. I like how our Jr. High programs are looking

A Jr. High program can be great, but there has to be an elevated level of coaching in order for that success to transition to the Varsity level.  I don't think there's a problem at West Point in that regard.  The county school where I live has a great Jr. High/Middle School football team, but because there isn't an elevated level of coaching once those kids reach the JV/Varsity level, there is a significant drop off in the win column.

Definitely not a problem here at the moment. It could change but things are the same now. The only major change we've had recently has been the DC in which everyone is happy about that change. It was much needed
