Yes it was. Kind of took the wind out of their sails. Our backup QB is our starting middle linebacker. Big kid, 10th grader. He is our best passing QB. We have a really good sophomore group. Clarkdale is a rivalry game and has been pretty good up until this year. And they can’t help who their district games are. Noxubee and Kemper are really good. Replacing Newton with them would’ve strengthened it some but I agree with chunky. It’s just been a down year for Union and Clarkdale is a rivalry that’s been played 48 times so I don’t see it getting dropped anytime soon.
