Rebel Bert
Greenville St Joe is not allowed under current rules to recruit into Arkansas. St Al and Cathedral are not allowed to recruit into Louisiana.
NoWammies
All those “Come To St. Joe” billboards in Lake Village would have to come down.

Rebel Bert
PCS 8-10 numbers add up to 274 last year so 3A is it.

They count 9-11 but when looking at numbers from last year to give you an "ballpark" estimate, you have to include the 8th grade numbers from that year. Rebel Bert
346 will put them as the largest 3A according 2023 MDE numbers.

Rebel Bert
Does anyone know that if 2 schools with identical numbers still will go up in class. In my potential list earlier this year I had 41 schools (same as current 2022 reclassification) in 3A. I also had both St Andrew's and East Union at the bottom 2 with 221 students each. PCS will make it 42 schools in 3A. Or perhaps both schools drop to 2A with 40 in 3A and 1, 4 team football region most likely region 8. No, multiplier is double the number for all boys (St Stanislaus) and all girls (OLA). I think their the only 2 in MHSAA now.

MDE will send the numbers to MHSAA. They count the 9th thru 11th grades. I posted as best as possible the 2023 odd year numbers in previous articles. All numbers will probably be different because of student transfers, drop outs, etc. The legislature also change economic formula for funding schools. It too will have an affect on this reclassification year.
Rebel Bert
There will be 41 or 42 schools in 3A when the numbers are announced. 42 if the 2023 numbers hold with St Andrew's and East Union moving up as well. 20 in the north and 22 in the south. Tylertown changing regions. St Andrew's or Scott Central could move north with long drives to even things at 21/21.
