longhorn75
This is a really odd look for Jackson Prep. I dont know if he was pushed out, or if he is leaving for another job. But Prep has gone from having a coach for 24 years, and now on their third head football coach in as many years. But there is some truth in the fact that Turner doesnt seem to stay at stints often. This coach search is going to be interesting though..

TheAnswer
All those school records got him 5 losses, no championship, and no job. But that’s none of my business. My money is on Sean Harrison at Heritage to get this job.

Those are substantial records to break considering the big picture: new coach, new culture and such a short amount of time. Prep announced hiring him in late March of 2021. He made some noise while he was there, but he seems to do that everywhere. From what I've heard the parents and students were irate of the announcement of Turner leaving and indicated there are major issues within their administration. Interested to see who ends up at Prep and who snags Turner.
s1nglewing
Doesn't matter - he'll be gone in a year or two anyway. Some thought Black was arrogant until they got a real dose.
MSTSatchmo
Harrison has built a power at Heritage. Would the pay bump be worth competing with MRA, JA, and Hartfield, as well as the public schools, for players?
longhorn75
Any truth to a rumor they are trying to lure Brad Peterson back into coaching? I honestly think the best hire for Prep would be to find a veteran coach that knows the MAIS. Will be a tricky coach search for sure.

They pushed Black out and lost a lot of financial support from long-time Prep donors. People lost respect doing Black that way. Headmaster needs to go. Prep has gone down hill since he took over. They are even opening up an elementary school, and likely just alienated FPDS with that move. Headmaster was a former board member/Prep parent, I believe. Even fans from rival schools, were irked about the way Black was pushed out. Nobody did more for JP football than Black, except maybe Carlisle who started the program.

Like everything else it is that what have you done for me now society. RB should have been allowed to stay there till he got ready to leave. Why don't the promote Nick Brewer? 1
