greenandgoldhawk
A lot of folks blast teams and fans for schedules that are mostly premade a previous year and are flipped flopped the next year. Teams can only play who are in front of them. Second there are people wanting more of north/south matchups among teams or feel that one side doesnt play competition. What teams would you love to see in the regular season play that dont usually meet up? ( AND BE REALISTIC ABOUT SCHEDULING A TEAM WHO WILL BE TALENT DEPLETED OR NOT AS TALENTED AS THEY ARE THIS YEARFOR NEXT SEASON)
Kurt Cobain
I'm be honest I know why u said started this subject. Is be because a lot people down here question Simmons schedule. The minute I saw Simmons schedule I knew out box some thing wasn't right but, also u only schedule team that's realistic and make sense to go play to. I would love to see Simmons vs Charleston or Simmions vs Clarksdale Edited December 11, 2021 by Kurt Cobain

Clever Clogs
I really wish for our kids and exposure we could do some stuff like other states and play teams from TX, Alabama, and Georgia.. I really liked what Greenville Christian did. I know we schedule Louisiana but places like OG, Madison Central, Oxford have the resources and support to do it. David
Ocean Springs vs. Clinton was a good one last year, going into overtime, and while they play again this year, I’d like to see my Greyhounds play more games up in the metro area or even north state. Wouldn’t be terrible to lose a game if it gets the team ready for the playoffs by showing the kids (and the coaches) how to play the best competition. Look at how JDC played up in competition and lost, but then kicked butt against their own classification. More small teams should do that. There are some mighty good teams just to the east of Ocean Springs. Pine Forest in Pensacola is playing for the Florida 6A Championship next Saturday, and the Mobile area has a lot of very good teams.
HammerDown74
98% of schedules this year will be the same next year, just flip home/away. Most games are a 2 year agreement. So unless teams have bye weeks that match up or something COVID related, most schedules will be the same in 2022 as they were in 2021. I know that Gulfport went over to the panhandle to play Escambia this year, but not much else. We played some good New Orleans teams a while back. I’m guessing that part of that is the loss of ticket sales from the distance and lack of natural rivalries. I’m hoping that we take a pretty good crowd up to Clinton. Last year’s game was on a Thursday, so their crowd wasn’t very big at our place. Edited December 12, 2021 by David

I remember that but I was thinking more outside of Louisiana. The association makes it hard to schedule these types of games but if we let loose like the MAIS I would think people would be shocked with what we have here in the state. Example MRA playing Pulaski was great.
Dubaction
Is the association strict on OOS scheduling? This is a serious question btw. I’m not in the know of how all of that works.
