They've canceled their 2024 season. 7 players isn't enough to play 8-man.

No it’s not.  They must’ve lost a large percentage of their players off of last year’s MAIS-1A Champion 8-man team.  They’ll probably need to build their varsity up to around 20 players to feel comfortable participating in varsity again.  They can do it with less but then they’ll be eating away at the depth.  But I reckon that would be better than not playing at all.

Given how isolated the area is I would be unsure where those students would attend if it were to close.

 

I regularly wonder how some of these schools, especially in the Delta, hang on with the population of their areas continually declining but that's just me.

Deer Creek would more than likely be the only option if they wanted to keep them in academy since 30 mins away. The only other option I see would be Humphreys Academy but 40 mins there and 40 back 5 times a week would get old.
