J-Trill88
The rankings will be posted tonight at 6! Who’s your top 4? And why? I’ll start. 1. Georgia (powerful team in FBS) 2. Alabama ( Strongest team in FBS, questionable Secondary but still strong ) 3. Michigan State (Running game is real. Dark horse of the Big 10. Ohio state game looming though) 4. Cincinnati (weak a$& schedule and conference but ND is helping state their case as they win. So they will be 4 for now.
MSTSatchmo
If it’s MY top 4, I would go with - UGA Alabama Ohio St Mich St Cincinnati has to soft a schedule, Oklahoma has looked better, but they have been weak in several wins, Oregon beat Ohio St, but I think Ohio St is playing better now. What I think it will look like - UGA Cincinnati Oklahoma Alabama

MSTSatchmo
Oregon is kind of a surprise. I guess they give a lot of credit to the Ohio State win. I have a feeling there will be a lot of changes by the end of the regular season.
Dawg83
How about State at 17 just one spot behind Ole Miss? Probably would be in the Top 12-15 without the loss to Memphis. Say what you want about State this year, and they’re definitely inconsistent, but they’ve racked up some very quality wins.
MSTSatchmo
Leach may have more upset wins this season than Mullen did his entire time in Starkville. Lol. I was just looking at Auburn’s schedule. 7 of the last 8 games were against ranked teams. That’s tough. They have A&M, State, SC, and Bama left after playing OM, Arkansas and UGA the previous 3 games. Arkansas was ranked at the time, but is out now. rebmus
I expected State to be in the CFP rankings- around 22 or so. State is just hard to guess... 3 wins against ranked teams, loss to a pretty bad Memphis team, loss to LSU (LSU MAY have only 2 SEC wins this season when it's over), and was honestly lucky to get past La Tech (first game of the year, and those can certainly be tricky). With the 3 nice wins, 17 is fair enough... just a tad higher than I would have guessed. OM is about where I expected at 16, but I certainly could have seen them around 22 or so. 2 losses to #2 Bama and #13 Auburn (using current rankings, I've never liked using rankings at the time the game was played). 6 wins against unranked teams. (Again, I use current rankings so Arkansas doesn't count as of today). As Satch mentioned, a lot of changes will happen between now and the end of the season. Heck- just last week a lot of experts were predicting Kentucky or Ole Miss to a NY6 bowl. I've seen projections with Auburn to a NY6 bowl now- which may well happen. The "top 4" will change at least twice in the next 5 weeks- and sure could change all 5 times in the next 5 weeks. The humorous part, to me anyway... 9-0 Oklahoma is #8. I suppose the committee is tired of putting an undefeated Oklahoma team in the playoff only to have a boring blow out game.
