I have YouTube Tv and it has Alabama public broadcasting. But I think it’s streaming on NFHS Network. MHSAA could learn a lot fro AHSAA.

That coach forgot he could get a first down and blew it by letting the clock run down.

 

This game was everything that makes football great. The refs stayed out of the way and let them play.

Terrible call on the last play, IMO.

 

1) They had shown that play earlier in the drive so the element of surprise was lost.

 

2) He called a timeout so you know the Clay-Chalkville coaching staff made their players aware of the possibility of another QB run.

 

And why would you not allow one of the better high school QBs in America to not make a play with his arm?

He also let 10-15 seconds run off of the clock before calling timeout with 5 seconds left in the game. I thought the ground caused the fumble if so it would have been 1st down on the one yard line. So they had time to clock the ball and get one more play.
