If y’all guarantee my Ocean Springs team a spot in a state championship game, I promise you I’d drive all the way to Memphis for a chance to watch. If a set of fans is so spoiled that an extra hour of driving time keeps a majority of em from going to support the team, then they might not deserve the chance. I don’t know of any fan base in this state that’s like that. I bet West Point still shows up every year, where ever the venue is.

It needs to rotate between the 3 venues (MSST, UM, USM). For the north teams to continually have to travel to Hattiesburg each year is not ideal.  The way the crowd looks in the stadium is way down on the list of importance.  The current rotation is good.

Is it more ideal for south teams to travel north 2 out of every 3 years?

Ideally a nice 15,000-30,000 seat stadium would exist in the Flowood/Pearl/Brandon area that could host the games.

What was that about the field?  As I told someone earlier, that's not the typical high school field.

The one with players slipping throughout the finals ? How many high schools are hauling in loads of sand in on Friday nights ?  People standing on that sideline mush were slipping and they weren’t even playing.

You going to call me out for not being team rebel. Here’s a news flash, I’m not team anything when it comes to the MHSAA or our laughing stock state colleges.

Not calling you out. All I was saying was that the field wasn't destroyed like a HS field would have been. I didn't see the last game, but I didn't see that many more kids slipping than do on a Friday night when the heavy dew sets in the 2nd half of a game. Field turf gets wet when it rains and players slip on it. Just glad the OM turf crew had the means to keep it in, not great, but good condition. Hats off to them.
