Ole Miss-Georgia: obviously a huge opportunity game for OM. Probably can’t win the West now but a win could keep them in the Top 4 conversation. I’ll be honest, I don’t think a night time kickoff does OM any favors. That place will be very rowdy. Georgia is more human than prior years, yes. But while I’ve been impressed by OM’s clutch genes in close games, I’m not sure I think they’re quite good enough to win a game like this. I have UGA winning and covering, 34-20.

State-A&M: look, nothing is off the table when you’re dealing with two teams just about ready to fire their coach. Both teams also have QB health questions. Rumors from the State camp are that Parson is in line to start unless Rogers becomes available here at the last minute. I think this is another unpleasant one to watch. State covers but A&M wins 20-7.

Tennessee-Missouri: feels like a true toss up, my gut says the Vols get the win.

Bama-Kentucky: closer than anyone expects, but Bama by 7.

Florida-LSU: LSU wins at home

Michigan-Penn State: I’m calling for the Penn State upset, maybe I’ll actually be right this time. Michigan’s schedule so far has been pathetic, toughest test has been Rutgers at home. I like the Nittany Lions at home.

Utah-Washington: interesting matchup for UW but I don’t think Utah can keep pace with their offense.

OM 31 Georgia 28  It’s hard to keep those streaks going and Georgia has been on one.  This stretch of Missouri, OM and Tennessee will be the end of it.

A&M 27 State 10  That’s all I have on this one.

Bama over UK in a tough one.
LSU over Florida.
Missouri over Tennessee

Michigan over Penn St

Utah over Washington.

Ole Miss beats Georgia 30-21. It is just time for Georgia to lose. And Ole Miss is capable of being the team to do it.

I have no idea about State & A&M. Both teams are not good. A&M is much less worse than State and as such should play much less worse than State. I will say A&M wins a very ugly defensive game 16-13.

Bama wins solidly over Kentucky. 21-6.

KY will play with emotion and hang in there for a while but Bama will be in no danger of losing this game.

Florida comes off the mat to surprisingly beat LSU who just might let Alabama beat them twice. Florida 28, LSU 26.

Tennessee beats Missouri who will be deflated after great effort at Georgia and won’t be able to sustain the same effort two weeks in a row.

Arkansas keeps the momentum going and beats Auburn. 30-20.

The only game that might be worse than the State/A&M game might be Vandy-SCAR. Again two teams that are at the bottom of the conference. SCAR is flat and Vandy pulls off the upset. 24-23.

Michigan beats Penn State who has a good team but is not on the same level as Ohio State or Michigan.

Washington beats Utah and again Utah is solid but Washington appears to be on another level this year.

And I have been riding the AZ wave this year as that is going to be State’s best win this year barring something extreme happening over the next two weeks. AZ plays Colorado and they will continue Deon’s spiral.

AZ 28, Colorado 20.

I know they are about kick off but Lafayette beats Southern Miss in a tight non-defensive game.

42-38.

If UGA and Ole Miss both play up to their potential, Georgia wins. I suspect both teams make a mistake or 3... should be a really great game unless one of the two makes mistakes while the other doesn't. Also... Georgia hosts. Smart money is on Georgia. (I've said all year Georgia loses 1 regular season game... it's pretty much down to Ole Miss this weekend or Tennessee next weekend... neither should overly surprise anyone). Georgia has been flirting with a loss all year, hopefully they'll get that loss this weekend.

Battle of the hot seat coaches as mentioned... A&M is just too talented and MSU is just struggling. A&M is favored by 17, smart money is on A&M.

UK hangs around with Bama for a while, but Bama pulls away.

UT/Mizzou is a hard pick. I should go with Mizzou since they host, but going with UT.

I have more faith in Auburn than Arkansas right now, so Auburn.

South Carolina over Vandy I guess.

I'm picking Penn State because they host, at least that's what I'm telling myself. It's quite possible I'm just rooting for chaos at the top and Muck Fichigan may well be playing a part.

I'm rooting for USM but picking U LA LA. (It's 7-7 as I'm typing this so it's still ok to make this pick after kickoff?)

I was looking at that rivalry. ULL won the first 7 games but since 1932, USM is 40-4-1 against the Ragin Cajuns. That is total domination. Of course they have only played twice over the last fifteen years, three times counting tonight.
But still it makes you wonder if they have a mental block where Southern Miss is concerned.

USM wins in overtime and will travel to Starkville on a winning streak next week.

I don’t think it will happen… But what if…. I think yall know where I’m going with this….

We are one USM upset away from the Egg Bowl being Lane Kiffin vs interim head coach Tony Hughes.

I feel similar to this game as I felt about Ole Miss vs Bama or Bama vs LSU. If it were in Oxford I’d be more tempted to pick OM. In Athens, I don’t love their chances.

Ole Miss is good. I personally don’t believe they are 11-1 with a win in Athens good. But hey, they’ve got a chance to prove me wrong.

I thought Kentucky would put up a little fight at home.  Bama keeps getting better each week.  It’s not probable, but it’s possible if there are 3 undefeated teams from 3 P5 conferences and Texas has 1 loss and a Big12 championship that a 1 loss SECC might get left out because of that early Bama/Texas matchup.

On another note, I didn’t realize that Penn State couldn’t throw a forward pass.

Mizzou up 29-7 with 6:21 to go. Unless Tennessee pulls a miracle comeback, Georgia clinches the East before even playing today.

ETA:

Shrader for Mizzou has put on a SHOW today. 205 rushing and 116 receiving yards.

As I edited, pick 6 for Mizzou. UT getting romped.
