Shannon/IAHS loser *Tishomingo County still alive but needs a Shannon win over IAHS and then beat IAHS next week. Region 2 1. Senatobia 2. New Albany 3. North Pontotoc 4. Byhalia/South Pontotoc winner Region 3 1. Louisville 2. Kosciusko/Houston winner 3. Kosciusko/Houston loser 4. Caledonia/Greenwood winner Region 4 1. West Lauderdale/Newton County winner 2. Amory is just the better team in my opinion from seeing both play. As far as Shannon/IAHS/Tish County goes, here’s the scenario… Shannon can wrap up at least the 3 seed with a win over IAHS. That would make next weeks IAHS/Tish County game a winner take all for the 4 seed. If IAHS beats Shannon, Shannon then loses to Amory, Tish County would have to beat IAHS to force a 3 way tie for the last two seeds. Ripley D takes away your #1 option on offense and forces the opponent to go to option #2. Ripley is a bit more battle tested due to their schedule and they have a D1 kicker and they also just got their 3 year starting QB back last week. I think Ripley beats Amory in a hard nosed game. no idea on shannon and IAHS as they both looked a hot mess when i saw them. i think shannon should beat iahs but shannon makes too many mental mistakes to beat amory. In this case since that 3 game losing streak Shannon has played 2 below average teams(Water Valley & Tish County). You may be right.
