FBdude
Alabama and Florida panhandle schools are launching a new organization the Gulf States Independent Athletic Association. You guys think this will impact Mississippi independent schools or the MAIS?

I mean Louisiana and Arkansas schools are already playing in the MAIS so thats pretty much the same thing that Florida and Alabama are doing sounds like

Heck depending on how many schools they have it could be less travel even to Florida
Rebel Bert
If St Stanislaus and OLA go to 4A then travel will be very local until playoffs. I don't see travel other than to Tylertown in 3A bring further.

The MAIS was very close to merging with AISA just a few years ago. They even came together and created the SECIS along with the GISA. If all the large private schools in the south get together and create an association it could shift the system entirely.

The only real large schools in the MAIS are in the Jackson area with Jackson Prep Jackson Academy MRA and Hartfield.
