Actually like each of those hires so far quite a bit. All should have some success in those spots. This is just more soap opera fuel to add to the fire in oxford. I expect OM to win easily and help make his decision easy - stay at OM and make a run. However if they’re in a close game or somehow State upsets them (just don’t see either), he could throw the team under the bus and leave. I would say it seems crazy for a coach let one game decide it for him either way…. But to be honest with Kiffin that would be pretty on brand. My prediction, if Kiffin leaves, is that Alex Golesh is the next coach at OM. And him waiting on OM may be why the deal between him and Arkansas is not finalized yet. I’m a fan of Golesh, FWIW. And also that Sumrall to Florida seems to be incoming. We shall see what that trickle down means. Feels like Golesh will either be in Oxford, Auburn, or Fayetteville next year. Sumrall held off on any decision until tomorrow and allegedly really wants the Ole Miss job if open... assuming Lane is headed to Baton Rouge, Sumrall is my first guess as the new Ole Miss coach.
