maroontide06
This appears to be the most intriguing matchup this week in Region 4-6A. I think we all know who the underdog in this matchup is, but can they make this a game and possibly pull off the upset? I realize they had the head scratching loss to Hancock and part of me wants to ask the question, "If they were to play Hancock again, would there be a different outcome?" This game against Pascagoula should answer all of those questions. Anybody got any thoughts on this one?

Picayune will go undefeated in the region and Long Beach probably isnt winning a region game.
coastfootballfanman
If the Pascagoula team that has shown up the last two weeks comes out Friday, they should win pretty easily in my opinion. A lot of people see Pascagoula at 2-5 and think they are not very good, but they played probably one of the toughest schedules of anyone around in south Mississippi on top of missing several key pieces. Now, them showing up to play like they have the last two weeks is the real question. Edited October 20 by coastfootballfanman

Another question that could be asked is, "What is left in the tank after PRC beat Gautier?"

PRC went from sadness and defeat to joy and victory in the span of 2 seconds. LOL
Hightide
Pascagoula shouldn't have any problem winning this game. I really don't think the PRC defense can stop Goulas running game.
Archer
Pascagoula has to beat itself but they've certainly done plenty of that over the last decade.

It sounds to me like if Goula doesn't come out the gate firing on all 8, they may have some undiagnosed problems.

I think it is just more to the fact that Pascagoula overall is just better that PRC from what I have seen and gathered. PRC has played 1 "quality" team and got beat by 35 points. Then, was boat raced by a Hancock team that quite frankly is not very good either. They did beat Gautier which for now seems like a good win, but from what I saw of them, they are way down from the past five or so years so how good of a win is it? If Pascagoula shows up to play, I do not see this being a close contest. However, as I have learned and I am sure most on this board have, trusting 15-18 years olds to show up and be consistent is hard to do. If he's at least a tier 2 on his PERS, that would make sense. The sooner he can start getting that 13th check, the better.

Like coastfootballman said, Goula should win this one but nothing is certain when it comes to high school kids. The same can be said for Sims as well. PRC has beat Goula before when they probably shouldn't have so won't be surprised if they do it again.
