1A 2025 Week 3

Every school now has had a season opener. Some pretty noticeable outcomes are out there. Salem and Ethel have a 2-0 start. Should really get a better chance to see the  improvements with the programs this week. Calhoun City is still dominating as they on a path of destruction. It should be interesting to see if and/or how the dominance continue against Winona. 

 

Who has been the biggest surprise so far?  Who seems to be flying under the radar?  Who seems to be the top contender(s)?

Winona and Calhoun City will be a very interested game

I see 3 pretty interesting matchups. Calhoun city and Winona obviously is one, but I think Winona takes care of business there pretty handily. West Marion and Lumberton is another big game down in the south, I will be interested in that one as well. And Tville and Raleigh of course are a smith county rivalry but Tville does not have the offensive fire power to be able to threaten to score enough on Raleigh’s defense. I will be surprised if Raleigh doesn’t pitch a shutout.

Ain't sure Taylorsville can score on nobody.  QB is bad passer they need go to that box and just run it.  Defense score all the point at Bay Spring and raleigh best team they play gone get ugly!

Heidelberg is after Raleigh. You may not score the next 2 weeks. But when you get to your 1A schedule, things will be much much easier. If they can keep the team morale up after the first 4 games, they can go on a run. And my personal opinion, Tville would be much better off running the wing-t or a double wing. Their pride of what they were in the past will never let do it. But they would give themselves a much better chance in an offense like that.

Newton County scored first then Raleigh scored the next 44 points. Put the jv in and Newton County scored twist. They probably will not put 60 on Tville but could if they are that bad. JV will probably play the 4th qtr for sure.

Tville has a good defense. Raleigh won’t score on them like they did last week. But Tville won’t score at all.

I’m predicting Raleigh Tville will be 35-0 Raleigh. 28-0 at the least. 

 

Heidelberg should score 50-60 on Taylorsville. I know Taylorsville has a decent defense, but it will be the worst Heidelberg has faced through 4 games. They just put up 48 on a pretty decent Quitman team. Only hope Taylorsville has of keeping it in the 40’s is the game being at Tartar Field.

I think 28-0 too. 14-0 at halftime maybe.

46-0 SMH Raleigh an they pulled they starters and they JV scored  but we trying to run spread with a QB can't throw it in the ocean ain't got no offense got no pass defense this team ain't gone win more 2 or 3 game it sad situation in taylorsville

Timing routes are off for Taylorsville. #17 is the only one that can catch the ball. OL is weak too.

I give credit defense play hard and coach trying short passing more but we got get down the field. Raleigh good and they defense gone be a problem for everybody.

When I say timing #9 will have to make a special move because the ball is high, off his left, off his right, or behind him. #5 the ball is too high or over thrown on most passes to him. Their offense is a atrocious. They will not win many games. At best 4th seed.

I think they’ll be a 2 or 3 seed in their district. Richton and Resurrection are a different level of bad. Them and Stringer should be a good game like it was last year. Lumberton is probably a little better right now.
