Union is way better than Mize; Enterprise is a young team without our bes6 player; Mize beat a 1a team with 22 players; Enterprise played one of the best 2A teams in the state; Enterprise wins next week. NoWammies Posted September 2, 2023 Share Posted September 2, 2023 Instead of using being a young team as an excuse since over half your starters will be graduating this year why not just be truthful to the viewing audience and say y’all lack size and depth with almost every starter having to play both ways. You brought up having to have long drives to keep Union off the field in order to have success yet those long drives also wear down your team since they have to turn around and play defense and it showed last night with a lot of guys going down with cramps late in the 3rd and 4th quarter. We have ten seniors on the team out of roster of 46: nine start; with on Zee Sims currently out; one of our seniors who starts at offensive guard this is his first year playing Football; we also have two players one a senior who opted not to play football this year so yes we are a young team. I severely doubt your team is anywhere near the top 6 or 8 best teams in the south in that class. NoWammies Posted September 4, 2023 Share Posted September 4, 2023 (edited) I watched these two games simultaneously the other night. While Enterprise was playing the same 13-14 guys on offense and defense, Winona was bringing in almost a whole new crew for offense and defense while subbing out 2-3 guys each play. I didn’t see a single Winona player go down with cramps and 6A Grenada never wore them down like you’d think a higher class school would. Like I said that’s not a being young problem that’s a lack of depth problem Enterprise is facing this year. It’s what people have been saying on here for awhile now that Enterprise just doesn’t have the same number of athletes some of the traditionally powered 3A teams have and it’s why Coach Jimmerson is commended for the job he’s been able to do at Enterprise.
