They lean on their defense heavily. Also it was Bay Springs homecoming so they may not have been worried too much about the game. Clarkdale is actually a pretty decent team though. They beat a decent Quitman team 2 weeks after that. Overall I think they get either the 3 or 4 seed in Region 6. They’ll go on the road to Lake or Scott Central 1st round more than likely from what i’m seeing then run into Wesson/Loyd Star depending on which seed they get. Every team we have played on our schedule so far outside of Tville is better than everybody we will play the rest of way including playoffs outside of Heidelberg. We lost a lot of one score games to some good teams because of turnovers. We have not protected the ball all season. We also have been decimated with injuries. Even last night we still had 5 players out. We should have been 5-2 coming into last nights game but that’s part of football. Offense looked very sloppy, everything from the snap to the hand off, just very sloppy. Players running into each other. Defensively, didn’t look much better. Defensive line generates very little pressure. Just lacking playmakers this season compared to previous years. I will be very surprised if enterprise beats clarkdale. A pretty good 1A team though. Don’t be shocked if you see them in the South State championship especially if they beat Lumberton for the district title. I know the competition they’re playing now is much worse than what they played early season, but they have definitely made adjustments as the season has went on and found some offense. I know this is a thread about Enterprise, but Taylorsville is not as bad as people make them out to be especially in 1A. They may be a shadow of their former self, but they still have athletes all over the field. Not a Taylorsville fan by any means, but I think they deserve at least some respect. EnterpriseBulldogsFan Posted October 26, 2025 Share Posted October 26, 2025 Enterprise freshman QB Cadence Carter 6'2 150 lbs. he had his first full time start against Clarkdale 5-10 for 112 yards and a 40 yard TD pass he has been punting and place kicking for us since we our regular kicker got hurt after our backup QB got hurt he is now starting and will lead up against Mize; I really feel like this young man will be something special he is impressive for a ninth grader. No but they will need to play their best game in 3 or 4 years Thursday night to punch their ticket to either Lake, Pelahatchie, or Scott Central. And yes Scott Central and Puckett have to win for Scott Central to be #1. Lake is #1 with win. It goes to points if Scott Central and Pelahatchie wins. EnterpriseBulldogsFan Posted October 29, 2025 Share Posted October 29, 2025 For Enterprise to beat Mize we'll have to shut down the Mize running game and make Mize pass; we held Clarkdale to 74 yards rushing and their RB was never a factor but Clarkdale torched us through the air with over 200 yards and 3 TDs; Mize doesnt have as good of a passing game or good of a QB as Clarkdale; we need to stop Gray also Mize is turnover-prone so hopefully that helps us.
