They'll be ok.  Feaster will have those boys ready to play.  They will clean up and have Dantzler ready to go.

Pretty severe damage to the entire community in Moss Point from what I have seen on social media. Hopefully they are able to get things in order by the start of the season. Terrible, terrible situation right now.

It's bad, but I think they will rebound from it and rally around their football team.  They've got something to play for.

If the press box is blown away, aren’t the lights and their support poles also gone? That’s the problem that might take a minute to fix, and more important than the press box. The city itself is getting a helping hand from their neighbors, hopefully the school system will too.

I don’t know if the stadium lights are completely gone, but I’m sure they sustained some damage.  Back in the old days there were no such things as stadium lights, but if they can get some commercial electricians out there I don’t think they’ll have any issues with lighting.  They just need to get them out there in a reasonable timeframe.

The news didn't say. Let's think they checked the lights to see.

Most schools check out their stadium lights in the summertime, and add bulbs or orientation if needed. Hopefully all that’s needed is bulbs in MP. Back in the day, that stadium was dark on the edge of the river.

Here's the solution:  Dantzler Stadium at Alexander Field.

I worked at Moss Point when they were in the process of renovating the stadium.  Yes, Dantzler Stadium was unofficial.  From the way it was explained to me it's now Dantzler Field at Jerry Alexander Stadium.

That use to be one of the hardest places to play in the state. Loved the stadium being on the water. WC played a playoff game down there when Bilbo was QB/K and there was a misty rain  and windy. We like to froze to death lol. But there’s a mystique about that place for sure. I hope they bounce back bigger and better.

I will tell you what also made it hard to play there was if the wind was blowing from the water to the field, an unwanted smell would linger over the field. Going to Moss Point was always one of my favorite road trips. They were sometimes given a bad rap about it being a dangerous place to play. But I never encountered any problems at all. It was definitely one of the best atmospheres to play in the state.

We only had a problem once and it was crazy on the administrations part. They sent reserved tickets up to Wayne County to presale. We bought tickets and got there and the seats were full of MP fans with hard hats on , face paint Ect…..  the police had to come clear the seats. Across the way the home stands were almost empty lol.
