They were not good at all last year. Linebackers were average at best. Skill group was really, really good from what I saw, but they could not block very well and could not stop much. This should be Hattiesburg’s best offensive line in some years and most well rounded offense since 2016 imo. I’m still going to have trouble wrapping my head around us being 6A now because we’ve been 5A for so long. I don’t think it will be too different since our district opponents are teams that we are familiar with even though it’s been a good minute since we played Hancock. I've been great hope the same for you. I'm with you on having that itch for the season to start. Every year it amazes me how much football never gets old. To me it represents another year to try and go get it done. It won't be much different. I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe you can post a picture of it so we can all judge the thing. IMO, Hattiesburg should have never quit wearing their LSU style helmets and jerseys and we never should have put that goofy looking “P” on our helmets either. The “P” that’s on there isn’t super terrible, but I guess I’m a traditionalist and the numbers on the side of the helmets is what I think of when I think of Maroon Tide Football. As far as our jerseys go, our home maroon jerseys used to have “MAROON TIDE” on them and our away white jerseys used to say “PICAYUNE” on them. Those were the days LOL! It worked the kids bought in and they are winning again. Darrell played starting QB tonight for varsity because Brady has to pitch tomorrow night against East Central. Darrell looked really good at QB though. There's not alot of funds roll through so having something the community can get behind of their own and with meaning is that much better. I remember several years ago Vicksburg Gators had some issues with the University of Florida about copyrights.
