David
I’ve been saying for years that the Coast teams needed to upgrade their early season schedules to be able to compete in the playoffs, but this is a first class upgrade. maroontide06
So if Ocean Springs is the "Kings of the Coast", does that make Picayune "Kings of the Tung Belt?" LOL

LOL Yeah, I was kind of wondering about that. Wish we could have played at some point last year instead of just the spring game. I think that would have been the game of the year down here. I hope we can be competitive this year, but no matter who wins, it will give both teams some good prep for district and the playoffs. I’m thinking that the Tide might be even better this year than last. Hoping this is a home/home deal.

Since its a new year and with an added class pretty much all non region games between teams are a home and home for two years.

If Picayune can stay healthy, then yes I can agree that the Maroon Tide will be better this year than last year. That defense is going to be some kind of salty. We will be fine, just using these games to get the offense together after losing Hubbard, but our sophomore QB will be a stud eventually. Looking forward to seeing y’all up there, I think. Looking forward to seeing y’all up there, I think. Picayune has a brutal non-region schedule as well, but that's an effect of good things that have happened, so it's more than welcome in my book. Any win in non-region for Picayune (with the exception of PRC), will be a hard earned, well deserved win. That medicine ball non-region football schedule will wind up paying dividends during region play and during the playoffs.
