Turf is a danger at all levels. Hartfield's QB tore his ACL in the all star game on turf. His exact words, "I hate turf, I wish we could play on grass" Tripp Maxwell tore his acl? The reality is this is high school football and not every school has the means to keep a grass football field in pristine condition. I realize grass is the better playing surface, but when turf is the better option for a school and community you go that route. If every high school in the State of Mississippi could have the Scott Field experience every Friday night when they play, then I don’t think you would see any turf fields, but apparently that’s not the reality. Yes I do think grass is better, but I’m certainly not a turf hater when it’s better than what was there before.

If it's about how it looks, safety be damned, then turf it is. im right there with you.
