That’s an interesting take. We’ll see.

Haha…I’ve heard the stories Tib. I’m sure it was something else in person.

No I get your point. I guess as long as I’ve been paying attention they’ve been running some variation of the offense they have now.

Harrison Central would get smacked by the next 3 teams under them in 6A.

That was what…. The mid 2000s?

I’m interested in seeing how the current batch of kids from both Oak Grove and Meridian view their matchup with each other this week. They haven’t played a competitive game against each other in quite some time now (didn’t play at all last season).

Diberville has always had a simple offense in my opinion. They couldn’t afford to let the game get out of hand they aren’t built for that.

OG 37 Warren Central 20 Put the young guns in at 37-6.

As an actual OG fan I’m glad the game was played. We asked several 6A schools for this game and they said no.

We somewhat got outcoached which is what I didn’t expect. We pretty much gave GCS the middle of the field by doubling up on Bell all night who still had a good game. But the game could have went either way. OG had several chances in the 4th quarter to win it. It was ultimately a great game between two of the best teams in the state.

I’d be surprised if we played anyone else with a starting lineup that talented on both sides of the ball. Other 6A schools will assume they can do us the same way and will be in for a rude awakening.

Get past north state for a change and maybe you can show us.

I can promise you Madison Central would most likely be in the same boat.

Definitely the most talented team 11 vs 11 Oak Grove will see all year. Color me wrong I didn’t think Greenville’s depth would hold up. Also didn’t expect OG to tackle so poorly. Hats off to those kids. 35 players man. Crazy stuff.

Embarrassing.

Slick, make sure you check in on this one via stream while you’re keeping up with the WC game.

Watch out? We rotate 8-9 on the d line alone

Dude we play 6A football. You think we don’t beat teams with multiple D1 kids on a yearly and weekly basis? With similar depth, mind you. This isn’t new to us.

I can count off the top of my head 8-9 starters at OG that should end up D1 if they have the grades. Half of them already have the offers with 2 committed. You’re really misinformed and will learn the hard way in a couple of days.

This is hilarious. You literally have no clue what you’re talking about.

Let me address a couple of things in this paragraph. First of all, Oak Grove is a veteran team I think people forget they won 6A last year and brought a large majority of that team back. And while GCS (since GC seems to bother you so much) is a very good team they were pretty much assembled this season so talented veterans is a good way to put it in my opinion. And I don’t think they would be on the schedule if OG didn’t respect how good they are. But what exactly have they done to be hated on is my real question? MRA and Prep don’t have the athletes to hang with those guys that have transferred in I watched them pretty much run right past both teams. And that Collins Hill game was a 4 score lead until GCS scored again with 48 seconds left in the game to put lipstick on an ugly pig.

I’m not sure this board has the capability to blow up. A game of this magnitude (according to what I’ve read anyway) with over 500 views on the topic and only 20 something replies. MST is really a shell of its former self.

Speaking of depth, I recently ran back the GC vs Collins Hill game. Collins Hill could have put them to bed a lot sooner had they just ran the ball more than they did. Amazing they waited till late in the game to take advantage of GC’s defensive approach.

I see a similar result. There’s been a lot of disrespect towards the Grovers I think they’ll come out to prove a point.
