House Bill 1435 is the one that needs to be worrying folks. If you think recruiting at High School level is bad now, it is going to be uncontrollable after this.

Center Hill is open.

LOL sorry Vott I had to have a little fun with it.

I heard Lane Brady has got the job...

If French is in the board, I think they would be dumb not to go after him. If he is not, Lala would be a good option. He has a lot of experience. I would also give Lampley at OS a ring as well.

Do tell the name??

I hope they gave it to Gibbs or Craft. Both have paid their dues and would keep the Tony Vance tree alive and well

He will last 1-2 years tops I believe. Tough mountain to climb for a first time head coach with a checkered past few stops

Who?

He saw the writing on the wall at Moss Point and knew the window for success is small at best. PRC was a chance to be closer to home and build something there. I agree it would not make a ton of sense especially since leaving Moss Point was supposed to be about going back closer to home.

John Feaster. Current HFC at Pearl River Central. Was competitive at Stone for a long well. Well regarded man and coach.

I think it would be a great hire if it were true.

Well when I read your post, that is what I assumed you were doing. Joking toward the Hattiesburg faithful. My apologies otherwise.

You need to consider the source to which gave this information. LOL

Watching them last year, I would have loved to see them run some veer/midline with him! He was as quick as a hiccup!

From what I was told, moving out of state.

It is an uphill battle. The talent they do have, they can hardly keep. Just since the season ended, they have lost 2 starting DL and their QB to transfer. It is a tough spot and will take someone that is willing to really, really build and develop.

Should be a good spring at Ocean Springs. Lost some pieces up front, but still have 3 I believe coming back on offense. Whitehead is back to hopefully be the quarterback from the offense. Lost 2 good wide receivers but we have some talented guys in the wings waiting. Lost Will Smith at RB, but we have some young talent we will be counting on. Defensively, we should be sound. Lost some really, really good players but we should still be pretty solid. My son is making a return to play this year after a year sabbatical to "focus on baseball". I will be excited to see him out there. He probably will not play very much (he is a much better baseball player than football) but it is good to build some mental and physical toughness.

It has not been officially announced yet, but St. Martin will be back open.

Coach Merchant last coached back in 2003 I believe. I doubt there are many coaches around still from his tree.

Well guys, how about you all drop a few names! LOL. Dangling the carrot in front of the horse is no fun for us not in the know!

Is that because candidates are lackluster? Not trying to be smarta$$ I am genuinely asking.

Heard its down to French and OC from Hattiesburg.

Have not. Was told they offered it and it was declined. Pool of candidates was not very good from what I was told.

I would second that for sure on Collins at Gautier. He has done a good job the past few seasons. I would like to throw Tracy Lampley from Ocean Springs in there as well.
