True. I should have clarified that i was speaking of Mississippi. The few private school kids that I notice making next level rosters aren't transfers. They grew up in that private school. The path of transferring from MHSAA to MAIS is a fair less successful path. Kid wins multiple state championships and statistically dominates in MHSAA, a college will give him a look, but the same cannot be said for a player that wins multiple state championships and statistically dominates in MAIS.

Lamar just added a player from a local public school, otherwise they are not back to the Mac Barnes level. This is very true. Current district AD has destroyed Northeast and crippled Southeast, where he did stints as principal at both places before being promoted due to his lack of success. The revolving door that Northeast has become recently is a direct result of him when he was the principal there. Southeast was just starting to recover from his tenure there until he was allowed to meddle in there again as AD

If you don't like or care about soccer, why comment? Why be rude? The multiplier argument directly affects soccer. It affected baseball a few years ago, and the MHSAA forced out the private schools that were dominating those classifications. Most other states have multipliers because this issue has affected basketball and football. If this issue starts affecting your precious football, everyone will change your tune on this issue. But unfortunately because this affects a sport that you don't like, you don't care to the point of being rude to anyone that does

Case in point, the coast private schools that are located among the most populous counties in the state. Jackson County has 145,00 with George having 25,000 then Harrison County has 210,000 with Stone adding 20,000 and even Hancock has 46,000 with Pearl River having 55,000 while Franklin County High School is located in county of 8,000 people AND then Southeast Lauderdale gets a quarter of Lauderdale County School district, like 7,000 people, to make up it enrollment.

Why doesn't MHSAA have a multiplier like every other state? There's literally no argument NOT to have one.

The young school priest is hiring the next football coach?!? That can't be good to have the preacher picking the HC and AD. I can't imagine many coaches want to be micromanaged by the local preacher/priest as your boss. ("Before Cathedral, he walked the sidelines at St. Joseph Catholic in Greenville." FYI Williams was run off from Greenville.) Natchez Cathedral used to be competitive in sports, as did St Al in Vicksburg.
